If we trade in our old phones to get the discount (buying the phones on a payment plan), will they be unlocked after 60 days or are we tied to Verizon's international plan choices for 3 years until the device is paid off?

Thanks, but that doesn't really directly answer the question - it leaves a lot of wiggle room. I just need to make sure the phone will be unlocked after 60 days even if it is not paid off. The reason I'm asking here is because I've had a Verizon rep tell me it won't be unlocked until it is paid off and another rep who told me that it would be unlocked after 60 days but it wouldn't happen automatically - we would have to call.

This issue is of concern to me also. VZW_CS states the device will be unlocked after 60 days. The documentation states:

What is unclear to me is the term purchase? Please define "purchase." I am not as sophisticated as VZW_CS in the end-run around the truth tactics as some. Please use small words and short sentences. Will the device I am making payments on be unlocked after 60 days or will it be unlocked after the purchase is paid in full?
