Can Receive & Place Calls and Texts Without Any Network Connection

I RECEIVE calls and texts despite all forms of network connectivity TURNED-OFF:

When All The Following Are OFF I can receive and place calls and texts.

Mobile Connection TURNED-OFF but I receive calls and texts.

Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Calling features TURNED-OFF but I receive calls and texts.

Bluetooth TURNED-OFF but I can receive and place calls and texts.

Roaming is TURNED-OFF.

No mobile network chosen or displayed.

Nearby Devices featureTURNED-OFF,and set to NO SHARE / NO DISCOVERY.

STATS:

Samsung Galaxy S21 -Android

Verizon Inlimited

Despite all of the above being true my 5G capable phone displays a 4G Bars icon with all bars "full" or nearly full. Calls and texts can be exchanged.

How and why is this possible?

Verizon uses their 4G LTE network for calls and texts. Since your phone shows strong 4G LTE signal it has service. To be completely disconnected from the network the phone would have to be showing "emergency calls only", "SOS", "SIM card error" or some such.

Thank you for sharing these details with us and we agree that this is unusual behavior for a device with the details you have shared. Has the device had airplane mode turn on as one of the steps? If so, does the device still receive texts and calls if that feature is turned on?

I cannot recall if Airplane mode was engaged. But there have been occasions when my SIM card was switched OFF and one individual has been able to contact me.

I once discovered a cell phone number of his (not known to me) "hidden" in a file. The number had an existing block on it BUT I never knew of the number. The number had the same, first six digits as mine. I twice contacted Verizon when I discovered this. The number belonged to my then boyfriend and the next surprise was the service for the number was not withhis carrier I knew... but with Verizon.

A Verizon technician did a remote check of my device, and from what was discovered the representative suggested the former boyfriend may allegedly have access to monitor my phone. I agree, and have videos of his behaviours and statements, plus video of odd behaviors of the device all of which indicate his possible unauthorized access to my phone. Local law enforcement have not been interested in any of this.

We recommend putting your phone in Airplane Mode if you don't wish to be contacted. Your situation sounds extremely difficult, and we're sure Airplane Mode will make sure you're not able to be contacted.
