How do I leave Verizon and go to another phone company? Idk how to do it, how to see how much it will cost to leave, etc.
Hello, Deedz62. Help is here as we don't want to see you leave us. We can help with the process if you like but may I ask, what happened to make you want to leave us?

Well, for one thing, I can not get internet or tv service at my house and that was something that was important to me, having all my bills in one place like I did before I came to Verizon. Then, I was going to add an iPad to my account and I have to buy it outright!? I was able to add any line or accessory when I was with AT&T. I’m not paying $900 plus on something when I’ve never missed a payment or been late.
Deedz62, thanks so much for this info. Just to confirm, is this regarding Verizon Wireles for cell phones or Verizon Fios for landline and cable services?
@Deedz62 , sorry that Verizon hasn't been living up to expectations for you, but I'll give you some tidbits to avoid the frustration of getting charged for "non-returned equipment" as several people have posted elsewhere about how hard it is to return equipment and then getting billed because, well, they weren't able to send their gadget back.
Below is a link with info on how to send your equipment back. Make sure you login to your account before you disconnect service, so you can print a return label. Once you quit, you can't login to your Verizon account anymore! Then you package the stuff in a box of your own making sure the equipment is padded enough inside so it doesn't get damaged in shipment. Don't try to ask for a return kit because I don't think they do those anymore.

Good luck with another provider, as we all need reliable internet access these days. As an aside, I'd have to think any carrier would ask the same of you if you wanted a new device added on, unless they are offering some kind of promotion concerning said device. Even then, you'd still be paying for it somehow. (While I enjoy my Verizon service, I also can't help but chuckle every time I see a certain ad on TV: "We've all seen this before...'Free Phone'!"... )
I don’t have any equipment to return. Idk what you’re talking about. This is about the fact that I can’t ad lines to my account and I can’t get internet service at my home. I don’t need to return anything. That’s why I hate posting in these forums because no one ever understands what I’m trying to say. I was with AT&T for many many years I switch to Verizon because I could have the same service for a lot cheaper. I tried to add a line to my account and apparently I’m not allowed to even though it keeps telling me I can, but if I wanna add to my account, I have to pay for the item outright and that’s absurd. I’ve never been late on any of my payments. I’ve never not made a payment so for me to have to pay for a tablet outright when I have an active account is ridiculous. I also would like the convenience of having all of my bills in the same place and the fact that I cannot get Internet service at my house through Verizon makes me not want to stay. What is so hard to understand about that ?
