Hi all,
I like many was enticed into 5G home internet services by the Nintendo Switch & $200 Verizon gift card program with a redemption date of 5/12, but when I went to check on this the tiles had disappeared (I have included screenshots of communication to this post). I was so skeptical of this promotion that I asked for clarification of what I can expect after starting services.
I called Verizon today and was told that apparently the redemption timeline is no longer 65 days and is in fact 5-6 months. The customer services agent was extremely helpful and kind. However I was for sure lied to by the sales team and other agents, and the tiles disappeared because they can no longer fulfill this promotion in the timeline they originally communicated.
I was told my request was escalated, but I will still have to wait over a month for a solution. Looks like I am going to start shopping for a new internet provider with a lower monthly cost and will likely not wait around for this promo to roll out. Classic example of a company writing checks that customers cannot cash. I also won't get a response to this, because they know its true!
