Unless you had your text messages backed up, they are not retrievable. Verizon will only release the content of text messages if you have a court order.
It is not within 10 days of deleting the message off your device. Messages on VZW server are deleted from their servers anywhere between 3-10 days of receipt on their system, based on volume of messages that are being sent.
You will need to convince a judge it is in your best interest to have them released. In addition if approved, there will be a rather large financial charge to you to have this done.
