SCH LCII - computer shows connected but not internet connectivity.

I have had my SCH LC11 for a little over a year and other than it disconnecting periodically haven't had any real issues until recently. My computer shows that it is connected but there is not internet connection.

I have tried resetting the device and initially it would broadcast for a couple minutes and then disconnect from my computer, reconnect and then there is no internet again. Now I can't even get it to do that.

Any suggestions? I am running Windows XP.

You may want to update the software in your device. Here's the link to Samsung's software update for the hotspot unit. Basically, one of the known issues with the device is that it has difficulty connecting you to the internet when there are other active sources of wireless signals nearby.

I found some info on this issue as I've been contemplating to reactivate my device after not having it active on any data plan over the past many months.
