Update to my 9630 corrupted my Outlook calendar

After installing the recent software upgrade, and synchronizing, recurring events on my Outlook calendar (on my laptop) were changed to begin at 4am or 5am, rather than at midnight; this has made all of the events two day events. This happened for all annual events, holidays, and other recurring events. The calendar on my Blackberry seems to be ok.

If there’s no good fix, it’s going to be a daunting task to manually fix all of these unwelcome changes in my Outlook calendar.

Can anyone suggest a fix to this problem?

Have you gone into the clock / time setting on the phone and checked it?

Thanks for your post. Immediately following the installation of the upgrade I noticed that my Blackberry had inexplicably, and without prompting from me, changed time zones from Eastern Time (GMT+5) to Atlantic Time (GMT+4). I changed back to Eastern Time immediately.

It is seeming like when you do the upgrade, or any upgrade for that matter, users should always backup first. Then after the install, run through the phone setup to verify all settings have stayed and then do a *228 option 2 just to make sure the PRL is up to date. This might solve some problems people are reporting.

Thanksfully, I did back up my data before I installed the software upgrade. I'm not sure how to benefit from the backup, however, since I don't think the Blackberry system permits me to do a partial restoration (of just the things that appear to have been corrupted during the upgrade). I believe I have to do a full restoration, including putting back the old operating system, or nothing.

I'm on holiday in Puerto Rico. I have Verizon's "Canada Plan" which allows me to operate in Canada and Puerto Rico as well as the USA. I tried *228 and didn't get Verizon, but rather I got "CLARO" which is the local provider here. They were unable to complete the *228 procedure for me.
