Razr M - Android Version Update?

Hi, so I have a Razr M and it was running on Android version 4.4. I had to do a factory reset recently on it and am now running back on version 4.1.2. Every time I go to Settings - About phone - System updates it tells me my device is up to date. It's obviously not if I'm still on 4.1.2. Is there anyway to force it to update back to 4.4? Or what is going on? It updated originally back in May or June. Did something change?

A factory reset shouldn't have reverted to an older version of the OS unless you were possibly using an unofficial ROM. Even with what I know of custom ROMs, the OS version shouldn't have decreased.

No unofficial or custom ROMs here. I just have the regular old crap.

It's really strange to hear your phone went back to an older software version after a factory reset. As Ann154 stated, a factory reset should not cause the phone to go back to an older software version. It sounds like some error may have occurred with the factory reset. Have you tried another reset http://vz.to/1iQBg69 by chance?

I have done two resets now because I thought maybe something went wrong during the first.

Everything works fine other than the fact it says it's up to date. I mean, it's not a huge deal, but I got used to everything on 4.4 and would rather have it again.

DO NOT UPDATE TO 4.4 IT MESSED UP MY RAZR HD .

Battery last maybe 6 hours phone overheats and changed some apps for the worst.
