I have the same problem today I had to restart my phone about 15 times I feel your pain
Did you find out any results I shutdown took my battery out backup I done everything and it still does it
And I also have the Galaxy 5
I think it's fixed. My sister was contacted and the problem is the Google app itself. Go into playstore, apps, then my apps, then select the Google app and uninstall the update for Google. It should still be in the recently updated apps list so far I have no problem. Make sure you restart after uninstalling the update and reverting back the Google app.
You will know it's restored when the tap to talk button turns red, and there is also a small keyboard to the left of the button to talk. Hope this helps.
