Did anyone purchase a Pixel XL at a discounted monthly rate on Black Friday?
I don't believe there was a discount for the Pixel XL. There was, however, a discount on both the 32 and 128GB Pixel. If you are asking about bill credits, it is the 3rd billing cycle and I haven't received it either. Seems like a common problem... I have seen a few threads on here about it. Guess I need to go to the Verizon Store... I have tried speaking with live chat customer service about the matter before. Unfortunately, whoever I talked to was unaware of the Black Friday deal. But the employees at my local store said many of them took advantage of the same deal and knew what I was talking about.
It was advertised that the Pixel was in the Black Friday deals, but the Pixel XL models were also included once you looked at its page for $20 and $25 per month per the deal. For some customers like myself, this is still the second billing cycle since Black Friday so the credits might not have been applied yet.
I also purchased a pixel XL as per the black friday promo.
Just received my 3rd bill since and there is still no credit on my account.
Does anyone remember how much the credit was supposed to be?
Here is the link to the Pixel Black Friday deal details. As indicated the XL was not included-
https://www.google.com/amp/www.droid-life.com/2016/11/22/verizon-black-friday-deals-pixel-xl/amp/
Same situation here. I'm onto my 4th bill but still did not receive the credit for Pixel XL ordered on Black Friday. My sister who has her own VZW account also got Pixel (not XL) on the same day but she got the credit on January. Should I wait another billing cycle? or should I go bother customer support? hmm...
So I bought mine on Thanksgiving day and the pixel XL was included in the deal. 20$ a month after the bill credit, 32gb.
Anyway I actually contacted Verizon support a few of days ago. The Verizon support tech assured me my bill credit will appear on my next billing cycle (meaning my bill due in April)
So we will see.
Same thing here. Bought XL at 20 per month. They charged 32 per month with no intention of crediting anything. I have a support case opened, but they said they checked promotions and only thing available on XL was trade-in...which is not true.
Update here - Verizon, after months of stating I will get credited, is not returning my calls regarding this issue. There are now 3 instances when a representative has failed to call me back. The last representative I reached initially said that they cannot find this promotion and they will not honor it. I asked to speak to a supervisor about this issue, yet no one has called. I have 5 lines on Verizon and will now begin the process of switching to Project Fi, starting with 3 lines immediately.
I also bought the Pixel XL on Black Friday, which was supposed to be discounted to $20 per month - WITHOUT the need to trade-in the device... I specifically chose this promotion because I did not want to trade in my old phone. I chatted online with a rep twice - once in early February and again on March 7th - both times I was assured the promotion WAS valid and that I would be receiving my credits, and the last time I was told they submitted a claim form for the discount, and that I would receive a confirmation within 7 to 10 days... So far, no confirmation, and I probably will still not get my credits come my next billing. I've never had any problems with Verizon's customer service in the past, but now I am getting quite annoyed!
I am still waiting as well. I purchased the Google Pixel on Black Friday for the $10 month after credits. I definitely would not have gotten the phone if it weren't for the credits. I chatted with Verizon customer service twice and they both have said the credits should be on their and submitted claim forms, but still nothing :smileysad:. Has anyone received their promotional credits yet?
Nope, still have not received mine...
I talked with verizon customer service a couple weeks ago and the rep assured me the credit will appear on my next bill. Waiting to receive my next bill still, before I call again. Like you said, I also would not have purchased this phone at the time if it was not for the promotion.
This is pretty ridiculous. Did anyone happen to take a screenshot of the page that showed the 10$ credit when checking out?
This was mine for the Pixel XL, which also proves the XL was part of their promotion!
This is ridiculous I hate stressing about this stuff. I'm kind of tempted to switch to T-Mobile lol.
It is unbelievable. I have called 8 times regarding this. The first 4 times they said would be getting my credit. Now that I shoul dbe gtting my credit, I have called 4 times to open a case. EVERY single time, no one has called back. This is the worst Verizon customer service experience ever. I have started investigating moving over to Google Project Fi. SO frustrating
Where's the Verizon Wireless Customer Support agent on this post?? Several people having the same issue, and no response??

A response from a VZW rep isn't guaranteed as this is a peer to peer public community forum and not a direct link to Customer Service. Granted they probably should have chimed in already as they usually reply about two days after the original post.
There are a few other similar discussions in the forum, you can review the VZW reps responses there and see if they help as they are likely to be the same responses you would get here.
Yeah I'm aware a response isn't guaranteed, and I already looked thru the other threads pertaining to this promotion, and all they said was to direct message them... I have requested to follow them so I could direct message them, but they haven't approved my follow request yet, that's why I commented what I did, so maybe the right person might stumble across it. But no luck so far. I don't have time to talk to them before work, for the 3rd time, so guess I'll just wait until after work and try chatting with another agent who will hopefully provide a real solution, unlike the other 2 agents who promised it would get resolved, but ultimately didn't.
They told me the same thing last month- it would appear on the next bill. It didn't
Clearly, there is a system issue recognizing this Promotion...yet Verizon will not admit it and is making their customers pay for their mistake.
OK, I just called customer service, had to look on my bill to find the number, as they apparently don't list it online anymore. They said they were aware of the problem. For some reason, the computer is not picking up the offer code and automatically crediting it to the bills. They transferred me to the "trade-in & promotions" department, who told me they manually added mine today. So it should show up next month. We'll see.
Just got done chatting with another agent online, who did see my account was escalated to get my credits, but I never received notification as I was told I would, so she tried sending another one via e-mail, and it didn't go thru either... Apparently there's an issue with my roadrunner account that must be blocking e-mails from Verizon, so I gave them an alternative address, which worked... but anyway, she escalated my account again just to make sure, and I am supposed to hear back from them within 2 business days as to the outcome of the ticket. I will post any updates I receive.
Has anyone received there discount yet? After receiving my 4th bill again no discount i went to Verizon store and asked. Manager doesn't show this promo listed. This is crazy I know what i paid for and saw when i ordered phone. What possible reason for having this promo and then acting like it never happened?
Nope, they cannot find the promo so they are calling us all liars...as if we would all get together and make this up. They are cheating us all.
Good luck with this guys I switched to at&t over this.
Sent from my iPhone
Ok I finally got this taken care of :smileyhappy: I received an e-mail saying that my credits have been applied. I checked my "next bill" in My Verizon, and it's showing all 5 credits (one for the new bill, and the 4 back credits). Again, this is for the Pixel XL, without a trade-in... so anyone else who bought the Pixel XL on Thanksgiving/Black Friday should be eligible for these credits. Hope this helps anyone still having problems getting this promotion applied to their account. Good luck!
Sweet!! Thanks for providing hope.
Thanks for posting that - I will call, but I have a feeling they will say same thing "not a valid promotion"
One more update - I called regarding this again...this time the representative was able to find the promotion for the Pixel XL. For the first time, the representative actually opened a ticket for a credit to be applied, along with an adjustment to be made to 20.00 per month. Fingers crossed this actually gets resolved. The text says it will be taken care wthin 7 days. First glimmer of hope.
The rep said 7 days for me too. A month later and still no credit. All the reps I talked to were able to find the promotion especially since I could point them to the exact press release outlining that deal.
Don't know if it made any difference or not, but I always chat with a Verizon Wireless rep online (thru their website), so I can have a copy of the conversation, and if I ever have to contact them again, I am able to reference the previous chat session (if you click on the mail icon at the top of the chat window, you can provide them with an e-mail address, and after you're done chatting, they will send a copy of the conversation to your e-mail with a reference number). Perhaps referencing a previous chat session regarding the same issue was able to speed up my resolution? Worth a shot if you haven't tried contacting them thru that method.
Here's what I got from Verizon rep:
The account should receive the credit within 2-3 billing, however due to the high demand and validation of the devices a delay of credit is also expected.I have already submitted an escalation to make sure that you will be able to get the credit of your devices starting next bill cycle.Rest assured that the account will be able to receive a refund/credit for the past months that the credit was not able to apply.

Hopefully Verizon keeps their promise and I will get the credit on my next bill. I can see the next bill on the 28th.
I am having this problem too, just got my 4th bill without the discount on it. I did the black friday trade in deal with the pixel (not the xl). The online chat representative told me to call in for help, and the guy on the phone said he would put in a Promotional Escalation form and that it will take 2-3 days for me to get my credits. Hopefully this is true. I contacted them last month when I didn't see the credit on my third bill, and they said it would show up on my 4th bill. We'll see if this works.
This whole Black Friday promotion deal is ludicrous. I am still waiting for my credit for buying a Pixel on Black Friday. Seriously, Verizon's checkout and billing system is disastrous, how hard is it to automatically program the system to automatically apply the promotion to any account that buys a promotion-eligible phone between the valid hours and days of the promotion? If a major vendor like Amazon had issues like this for their sales and promotions they'd lose so much revenue. I feel I shouldn't have to be calling and posting here to fix what should have been automatically applied!
Agreed! I think the biggest reason they don't apply the credits automatically is for 2 reasons, (but they're both poor excuses)... 1. They want to wait until the return window has passed, so they don't have to bill you for what they credited you --- that's a poor excuse for 2 reasons, 1 because they don't give you 90 days to return a phone, and 2 because it's just as easy for them to charge you as it is for them to credit you, but I suppose if you jump ship and go somewhere else, this could be a legitimate reason??... And the second reason why they don't automatically apply the credit is because your account has to be in good standing (paid up) before they'll give you credits... Again, this is a poor excuse because it shouldn't take them 90 days to figure out if your account is in good standing! But regardless of their excuses, I totally agree with you that it shouldn't be a chore to get credits we are owed!
finally, finally, finally got my credit for my Pixel (non XL). Many many chat sessions. We'll see if it continues beyond this month.
Update: I did get the credit in 3 days, like the rep said I would, but it was for a whopping $16. Total. I called back and the rep said I was given the wrong discount. He found the correct one that brings the phone to half off and said it would show on my next bill. I asked why wouldn't it show in 2-3 days like the last one? His answer didn't make sense so I'm hoping he was wrong and I will see the credit in 3 days.
I am baffled that it is taking so much effort to get this discount!

Shocked? Haha!! Took me four calls to support to resolve my discount. All of them acted like I had no idea what I was taking about. Can't believe this is so difficult. Wanna guess if I would have finally got my discount if I hadn't called multiple times??
Do you have some sort of update for me?
If you look through the numerous posts on this forum, it seems there are other users who have gotten this resolved. So I'm wondering why I and others are still being given the run around?
I responded to your private message, have yet to hear back.
Yep, I keep hoping I get a message or notification that all this has been sorted out and I get past credit due me, and future bill credit is automatically applied. Plus my account is on autopay so it should pretty much be in good standing. Oh well, I guess I'll keep hoping...
Like I posted awhile back (on this thread), I don't know if chatting online with a rep had any effect on mine getting resolved, but I always contact them by online chat, instead of by phone, so I have a written record of what's been discussed, and a reference number in case I need to refer to it in any further chat sessions. It did take me 3 chat sessions before I got it resolved, but using that reference number saves allot of time explaining everything all over again LOL
Just in case anyone stumbles across this looking for people having similar problems. I just contacted Verizon on 3/28 via chat about not getting the problem resolved. The worker spent about 30 minutes with me on the issue, but assured me it was all taken care of and I should receive an email in 24-48 hours about the problem being resolved. I contacted via chat again today and they say there is a note in my file that they CANNOT FIND the deal I purchased my phone under ($20/month). I bought my Pixel XL on Black Friday. I am glad to have found this thread which validates the deal I was offered because the specific advertisement for the offer is nowhere to be found on the internet, that I can find. Unfortunately I assumed the inquiry today would be simple and being that it took over an hour, and I was at work, I couldn't continue with the issue. I plan on contacting Verizon via phone and speaking with a supervisor. Will update everyone if I learn anything of use.
Where you able to get them to tell you what promotion code they need to use for my$20 monthly payment on the Pixel XL.
I'm on the phone with them and they are telling me that there was no promotion for the XL!
No, they think we are all lying about the XL promotion. They will not even listen to the fact there are all these people saying we were promised the 20 dollar promotion price. I was told I would be credited but of course have not been.
The press release is a little deceiving, but the same deal that is specifically listed for the regular Pixel applied to the Pixel XL models. The promotional price was Pixel 32 GB at $10 per month, Pixel 128 GB at $15, Pixel XL 32 GB at $20 and Pixel XL 128 GB at $25.
Get all of the best phones - including Verizon exclusives - on the next gen network for $0 this Black Friday weekend | A…
The exact wording was:
"Don’t want to trade in your phone but still want the best network? On Thursday and Friday only, get our best and exclusive phones, like Pixel, Phone by Google, for only $10 per month with no money down and no trade-in required.**"
"**For 24 months on device payment for qualified customers. Thursday and Friday online and Friday in-store only. Up to $672.00 device payment purchase req’d. Less up to $432 bill credit applied to account over 24 mos.; credit begins within 2–3 cycles & ends when balance paid; 0% APR. Line must be active for 24 mos. to get full credit."
No they didn't say, sorry.
Sigh. Got my credit for the past invoices, but it appears that my bill going forward has not changed to the discounted rate. Will need to contact them again. This is incredible.
Same thing for me. I see credits for next month without the monthly line change. The representative assured me that I will keep receiving a monthly credit to offset the extra line charge. Once again, I'll believe it when I see it.
You will be billed the full payment amount and then should also receive a separate line item on the bill crediting a portion of phone cost.
Yep, me too. Just finished with the chat representative. She also assured me that I will see the discounted device payment rate on my next bill. We'll see.
I got a new bill today and it still didn't have the discounts. this is really frustrating. grrr........
Just had the same conversation with a phone representative. It was actually the first time that I had a customer service representative agree with me that the deal existed. When looking up the claim he said "I am seeing here that they are saying that the problem is there was no trade in, but I was here when that deal was offered and there was a deal for that phone that didn't require a trade in." He told me that my profile was showing a credit that just hadn't been given a start date and that in most cases that means it will begin at the next statement cycle. Fingers crossed!
In the same boat as many of you. I purchased 2 of the Pixel XL 128Gb phones on Black Friday 11/25/16. They were supposed to cost $25 per month ($36.24 - $11.24 in credits) and if you traded in the right phone, you would receive $23.75 month for Trade-In Credit. I made print outs of every page during my order and the final cart page shows both of these discounts clearly. There is no reason for them to be denying these credits. There was no wording about the discount being mutually exclusive (one or the other). Even the promotion page I saw that was posted by another member, included the XL as one that could be free after Trade-In of right model phone. So why must there be issues with this? Come on VERIZON!!
Working on 5th billing cycle and still no rebate/credits on 2 pixel Black Friday phones
Well, finally after two calls and lots of messaging, I'm showing credit for my first 4 bills. I talked to a nice CSR named Ray yesterday and he said they had filled out the wrong form to get the Black Friday promo added to my account. So now I just have to wait until the May bill to see if the automatic credit will be occurring on a monthly basis.
Were you able to get you situation resolved? I received the same response from their Customer Service that either you get the trade in amount or the discount on the Pixel XL. I printed out my cart and both were included. Seems they are changing their offer as they see fit. The CS rep said she would escalate my issue to her supervisor, but I have yet to receive a response. that was two day ago.
Supposedly they sent in a request or something and I was supposed to get an email when approved. So far Crickets...................
I'll be calling again in a few days.
Update... Sorry I haven't posted in awhile concerning this promotion, allot going on, but anyway, I received credits on my last bill, however, it was applied to the wrong line, and for the wrong amount, but more than expected LOL. I was expecting credits of $12.08 per month for 5 months, for a total credit of $60.40. What I received was credits of $17.08 for 3 months, plus $17.15 for one month, for a total credit of $68.39. I haven't had time to contact VZW about the credit amounts, and now I'm close to another billing, so I'm going to wait until my next bill to see what credits I receive (if any), and will deal with them at that time. At this point, I think we all should receive more credits than what is due, for having to their job for them!
I am concerned about this too. I also purchased a Pixel XL128gb on Black Friday for the $25/month. It didn't ship until Jan 20th. I have now had three billing cycles with no monthly credits and when I called today I was told that they couldn't find the deal code. I had called multiple times since the order was placed and was repeatedly assured that I would indeed receive the discounted pricing (monthly credits) starting around the third billing cycle since the device was ordered during the promotion. The representative says "it's in the notes but there isn't a code associated with it". She went through the computer by date and by "all" to find it and can't. She escalated it, and promised a follow up. You would think that with the number of people in this forum alone concerned by it they would have an available promo code ready. I'm hoping that the Verizon customer service team can figure it out and fix it for their many Pixel customers.
I spoke with a rep on Sunday and both her and her supervisor told me there is no record of this sale. I referenced them to this thread and was told they would dig deeper into this issue. What bothers me most is that we purchased both a regular Pixel and an XL on that Black Friday sale (on a side note... I had to contact customer service last month because I didn't see any discounts). Why would I have spent double on the XL in the first place.
Then we have no opportunity to return the phone because we don't have any indication it was a fake sale until almost 6 months later. Looks like this Verizon Wireless customer of 15 years will be moving on to another carrier.
Keep persisting the deal is valid. It was there. I saw it too. It was $20 for 32 GB Pixel XL and $25 for the 128 GB model of the Pixel XL.
Well, finally it's been sorted out. After several calls and messages, the credits from the months since Black Friday will appear on my May bill, plus the $17 credit will be applied each month going forward! Yay, I'm happy now :smileyhappy:
We do appreciate your loyalty bry2k79. I understand the importance of making sure that you are set the right expectations when purchasing a phone. I would like to personally look into this for you. I will be sending you a private message so I can assist.

It would certainly be helpful if you could look into ours also. I will be calling again today to try and get this resolved. I have screen shots of all my order screens showing the Pixel XL 128GB as a promotion for $25 /mo ($36.24 - $11.24 in monthly credits). We upgraded 2 eligible lines to get this deal on Black Friday. So my total credits from this promotion should be $22.48/mo. I also did trade-ins for those lines and those credits are being applied as expected, so no problems with the Trade-ins. All I can say is that if this doesn't get resolved soon, it will most likely be my last Verizon purchase and we will migrate to an alternative carrier.
@THEFLETCHS The Google Pixel XL is amazing phone and I definitely want you to take full advantage of the promotion. Can you please tell me which phones did you trade in? Are you expecting two different credits per line? We had different offers going on around the same time. I assure you I would do all the research necessary to get this resolved for you.
Does anyone have a copy of the ad which included the Pixel XL on Black Friday? We need to prove to Verizon once and for all that they are lying and trying to rip off their customers.
Check the way back machine website.
Same issue as most
Traded in a LG G4 for 23.75
No credit on my account
Purchased a Pixel XL 32 for $20 on black friday and im still paying 32 for it.
Spoke with many verizon reps and none of them know of this promo.
I called last Friday to complain and have been given a case number. I was told I would have a response in 72 hours. If I don't hear from Verizon by tomorrow evening, I will complete a complaint with the FCC. I plan to light them up. I may push to get out of the plan due to the continuing violation of their contract. I never had so much hassle with AT&T or Team Mobile. Dealing with Verizon is almost as notable as trying to deal with DirectV or Comcast...
I agree 100%. You can also file a complaint, like a lot already have, with the Consumer Financial Protection bureau and your state attorney office. Here is their link - consumerfinance.gov

Did you.get your bill credits? Do you have the promo code? Verizon customer service is a joke! U am having the same issue?
We don't want you to go through the frustrations of not receiving your promotion Mccaresp02. Have you spoken to customer service? Have we submitted a request to our team that handles promotions to investigate your purchase? What phone did you purchase and when did you activate your phone?

Why is this an issue even and why hasn't it been made public to the people working at customer support? I'm appalled that Verizon would even, in a heated market, make mistakes like this and then attempt to tell us that such a deal never even existed. There's obviously something wrong you have this many people telling you otherwise.
Not yet.

Would you be able to provide the rest of us screenshots of those printouts so the rest of us people who trusted them to do the right thing and didn't print everything out, can show them that there indeed was a promotion and that we are due the credits?? Please and Thank You!
Hi, can you please please please help me with this!
i have called over a dozen times now. I am getting nowhere fast.
At first they kept telling me they were gonna fix it, now they keep telling me this promotion never existed.
I had better success using a private message using Twitter. The advantage is that your conversation history is all in one conversation and so they can see how they keep failing. They ended up just crediting my accoiunt for the difference.
