At 01:30 CST, 4/29,  lost 3G. Y'all probably lost 4G as well. Back to 1X for now, 05:00, 4/29. Same or new problem? Will be away from the computer for several hours. Hope they get it fixed for us ASAP...

My 4G is down as well... Can hardly even hold 1X... You think Verizon would post an update or something....

Hello,

I'm sorry to learn that there was a temporary outage. Your services should be up and running normally now. If you are still having trouble accessing the 4G network, please perform a soft reset on your device by removing the battery and placing it right back in.

To check our 4G coverage map, please visit the link below:

Thank you.

I had 1X service, and sometimes no service, I did a soft reset and am still at 1X, is the 4g service back up ?  I called the support hotline and it said the service was down, this was about 30 min ago ?  Any updates as my data connection has been creeping along all day, its useless on 1X.  FYI I'm in Boston.

I have spent 2 hours on the phone with verizon support the last two days trying to get my Thunderbolt to get a 4G signal.  Most of the time I don't get 4g, 3g, or even 1X, I don't get anything at all and I am smack dab in the middle of the 4g area in the Metro Detroit area.  Prior to the outage, I had 4g all of the time.  At this point, I really don't think it's my phone because I conveniently get a full 4g signal when I get near the Verizon corporate store just 3 miles away.  I just wish Verizon would own up to these network issues and stop saying the 4g network is fully restored because it clearly ISN'T!!!

It's not your phone. I have a Thunderbolt as well and have been having issues since Monday. Not only do I not have data (I'm not in a 4g area, but haven't had problems getting 3g before), I don't have voice, either. After many calls, a rep finally told me last night that they are having serious issues with 4g and because of my location it's also knocking my voice out as well. It's extremely frustrating.

I have a MiFi 4510L in Rochester, NY.  I have tried using it in many different parts of the city.  If anyone else has the same device as I do, please confirm whether it is working or not.

I CAN get it to work on 4G everywhere, but only if I first go into the web admin page, select WWAN, click the "more" link, and switch it from "Global" to "LTE only"

Last week, before the outage, it worked in 5 different places in the city, at 4G speeds, while set to "Global"

All this week, it never will connect to 4G while set to "Global." It will connect to EVDO when it is set to Global - every time.

When set to LTE, it always connects to 4G successfully (3 bars at the moment). -72dBm (for LTE)

I have spoken to Verizon support a number of times and am now working with a very helpful support agent who is escalating this.

Also (in case you are thinking this), I went to the store and replaced my device and SIM card, and that had no effect on the issue.  It did not work in the store when i left.  Other customers that have been to that store had similar issues.  I have also reset the device every way possible (twice with tech support on the phone) and with a paper clip, with the web interface, battery pull, sim pull.

Also, the signal strength is good according to the diagnostics.

I am posting this for the benefit of other customers and so that verizon knows that, despite the fact that NO TOWER ALARMS are going off and despite the fact that their engineers have determined that there is no network problem, there is a problem.  My request is that someone verify that the Novatel 4510L (when set to global, which is the default setting, and the only setting that will automatically find 4G and 3G) is actually working at ANY location in Rochester.  You will find that it does not.

I think the network engineers should have all of the 4G devices that are sold in stores with them when testing, and they should have them configured at the default settings.

I have 4 bars of signal, yet no data connection.  Its been like this for two days.  There is clearly a problem.  C'mon Verizon, please fix the 4g issues.
