I have provided a link below that will take you to the press release page of our verizonwireless.com website.   The article will provide you with information about voLTE and how it will be implemented into our 4G services.

I assume the voice call was short enough that it didn't have time to disconnect like all of our modems are so commonly doing. :smileywink:

This article summarizes all the major carriers and their individual versions of "4G" in interesting detail.

Just released was the Tunderbolt press release with the 4G unlimited data plan set at 29.99, is this in addition to the 3G data plan or includding it , so basically 60.00 for 3G/4G or 30.00 for 3G/4G. Also I read on a forum last night that VO calling  was able to be done on the bolt while on a 3G network is this correct?

I live in Myrtle Beach SC, The second largest growing metro in American next to Orlando Fl., and the 2nd biggest tourist destination to Orlando also. and no 4G coverage, Bt the will give a small tourist comunity like Hilton Head SC a 4G coverage when they do less than 10 percent of tourism in SC compared to Myrtle Beaches 70 percent.. But I guess prestige and big money and politics in Hilton Head wins out!!!!. Shame on you Verizon!!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased 3 Verizon 4G devices. None of them work properly in 3G or 4G areas. I am typically an early adopter or new & better technology. This 4G LTE product roll-out by Verizon includes an awful lot of flawed products. This is bull**bleep**. Stop advertising something that was released before it was ready. I am very disappointed in Verizon.

I have the same problem. A ThunderBolt, a MiFi 4510L, and a UML290. None of these things work well. The modems do not lock onto 4G, nor do they work well on 3G, they continually disconnect after no more than 3 minutes. I have called tech support and been into 4 different Verizon stores. In every case I am told that "they" have not heard of this or that problem before. The most comical was when two (2) clerks greeted me at a Verizon store and told me that they had never heard of a re-booting issue & their primary phones were ThunderBolts that they had also had since day one. After further inspection, we found that they had not upgraded the ThunderBolt in early May like many of us had. They still had the original factory delivered OS.

Through persistence and by reading many on-line forums, I've gotten all the instructions on selecting networks and factory resetting, etc. They do not work! I rely primarily on my much older 3G device, a MiFi 2200 that always connects whether or not the newer modems will or won't. If I hadn't kept the MiFi 2200 under contract I would seldom have Internet.

The T-Bolt constantly reboots without my desire. It has several factory-installed programs that do not work correctly and sometimes lock up or take-over the phone, requiring a reboot. The News app never updates and takes over the phone while doing nothing except preventing me from using the phone. The SMS app takes over the phone and often loses & doesn't send or receive messages. When the phone is in it's auto-cradle (the one Verizon sold me with the phone 2 months ago) Bluetooth doesn't work, but screen auto-rotation does work. When the phone is out of the cradle, Bluetooth does work, but screen auto-rotation doesn't. These are very expensive devices that do not do what Verizon told me they would do. I wish I could just cancel my contracts and get cheap devices from a cheap vendor instead of these expensive non-working devices from this very expensive vendor.

Why is this thread marked as solved? It doesn't seem that anything is solved regarding all the 4G device problems.

My devices (sorted by yuks and yays):

HTC ThunderBolt (yuk)
Novatel Wireless MiFi 4510L (yuk)
Pantech UML290 (way yuk)

Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 (way yay)
RIM BlackBerry anything (way yay)

I Live in Wilmington NC, one of the first cities to get 4G.  Guess what, 4G is not in the whole area.  I thought it was the whole area.  4G comes in and out on the phone when you drive around.  Not that happy with it
