4G Service - Still Out Across the Nation?

A quick Google search shows tons and tons of angry customers without 4G service that just aren't getting answers.  I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone last night, first with a tech rep who thought I should just turn it on and off and remove the LTE sim card, before sending me to someone who knew what he was doing, that essentially did nothing but make me do the same thing, and then tell me he was alerting the "Network Team" -

 

Still nothing back, still no 4G service, but the worst part?  Not a word from Verizon.  No official announcements, not even on their own discussion forum?  I get if they don't want to look bad for potential new customers but come on, you have how many thousands of people without service now and NO update?  Going on 15+ hours since this started?  That's ridiculous.

Out in Plano, TX at ~11:40am.  No 3G or 4G for the last 40 min.

Out in South VA too. BOth mine and my girlfriends phones are now paper weights. Expensive ones too!

Out in Redmond WA, I do have 3g which just came on but **bleep** if I wanted 3g I would have stayed on my Droid X

No data service in and around Detroit, MI.  No 4G...no 3G.  So much for spending 250 bones on a RAZR.

I'm up in westchester NY and since 8:30PM tonight my wife and I have no service at all. Been using WiFi to get on to find NO answers yet... Seperate phones seperate plans both went down same time tonight.... No news on site about an outage??

My 4g/LTE service cut out this morning in Pgh PA around 10:30 am had to switch back to 3g(CDMA only). Not seeing it reported surprise surprise.

ALL data is out for me, even 3G. This is getting ridiculous Verizon, contemplating switching carriers. Not even a notification on the main page? Really? How hard is that.

I just went down about 20 minutes ago in Phoenix,Az ...no 3G or 4G either which is SUPER DUPER because I am working remotely today and both the phone and USB modem are down.

Currently there is no data service at all (4G or 3G) in the DC-Maryland area.  It jsut went out about 12:40.

The device is too new to get a refurbed. It's an problem with the network authentication in your area. You will need to call CSR and tell them you want to be bumped up to a level 2 tech. There is somethinf wrong with your account.

Already did that Thursday and was on the phone with level 2 for an hour.  Visted the local store and was there for 2hrs where they swapped the phone and SIM card and still a problem.  So they already logged a trouble ticket.  Just waiting on a call back hopefully Monday/tomorrow.  Level 2 support was no help so an engineer is looking in to the problem.  Will probably call in the afternoon if I dont get a call.  Hopefully it is resolved soon.

yea i am still out of service as well, three seconds today i got 4g, and for  5 second today i got 1x which has been the best day i have had since i lost data service, which was wednesday. 

 

and i am new to this forum, and tips to help i cant look though this whole thing hahah it to much info to take in

 

i have tried pulling battery, turning on and off, trying to jumpstart with airplane mode.

 

I have a thunderbolt if that helps at all

 

and which stinks is that this is the first time i have had a real problem with data. the other times i was not affected at all.

had stable 3g for like 5 minutes...but was slow.  First 3g I had in about a week.  So hopefully I will get a call with a resolution tomorrow.

i hope so also because maybe they could tell you the problem thats been going on, but i doubt it.

 

its little insane that its taken this long and people still have problems

Obviously whatever the problem is is not our phones, but the 4G LTE network Verizon is trying to put up.

 

I just got my Droid RAZR on December 22nd and I haven't had a single day of full 4G LTE yet.  I've had 3G almost constantly if anything at all, and slight bits of time on 4G LTE before it cuts off to 3G.  Obviously, it isn't our phones if this is happening all over the country!  If this keeps up I might just return the phone in a few days and switch providers.

i wish i could do that, but i do like my phone, and it has worked in the best flawlessly, just perplexed as to why its not working right now, wish they would just say something. this is really frustrating, because i have tried EVERYTHING and refuse to call for support because they are not the best **cough cough** at being nice and fixing problems.

 

I hope the holiday break and time off caused the data drop problem to prolong and hopefully this week it gets cleared up when everyone is back to work.

I hope i dont jinx my self but i somehow jumpstarted the phone and connected to the 3g signal. and i am not in a 4g area so ill test it tomorrow to see if that works. but i hope this sticks!!!!!!

Been a week since I had any 3g connection.  Going to a 4g area soon to see if that works.  Then I am going to Call verizon and yell at them.  Service has not worked since I signed up for service with Verizon so if they try to make me pay full price for a different phone, if I choose to switch, or try to give me a refurb...I will have words with them.

 

Still no call back from my support ticked or the network team for the call I logged last Thursday either.   This is getting stupid.

Funny, an hour after I made my last post about calling Verizon to yell at them, my 3g came back online.  They credit my account for the week without service so all is good.  Hopefully it stays that way.
