A quick Google search shows tons and tons of angry customers without 4G service that just aren't getting answers. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone last night, first with a tech rep who thought I should just turn it on and off and remove the LTE sim card, before sending me to someone who knew what he was doing, that essentially did nothing but make me do the same thing, and then tell me he was alerting the "Network Team" -
Still nothing back, still no 4G service, but the worst part? Not a word from Verizon. No official announcements, not even on their own discussion forum? I get if they don't want to look bad for potential new customers but come on, you have how many thousands of people without service now and NO update? Going on 15+ hours since this started? That's ridiculous.

This is getting ridiculous.. 3G for about 20 min. in Philly... gone again. I might have to go to the store and start yelling and make them take back this RAZR I spent a ton of money on so I can go back to my old 3G phone which will actually work.

4G down in Minneapolis. 3G works in my basement kind of........which isn't helpful when you're paying close to $200 per month to be mobile.

Yup! It's out in California to New York. Just got sporadic 3G back. Umm, are they taking the lowest bid contractors to make this 4G system?

No 4G in Oakland, CA. 3G is sporadic by the minute.
I called VZW Customer service yesterday for this same problem and they told me "No. We have no problem with our network. It must be your phone. Let's back up everything OTA and reset your phone. I can't submit a problem ticket for a network outage UNLESS I first reset your phone."
{word filter avoidance} All I asked was if there was a network outage. I would've been understanding and patient if the CS Rep just said, "Yes sir, we're aware of the problem and are working to fix it." BUT NOPE. Stonewall denial. It's your phone. Got to wipe and reset. No {word filter avoidance} way. I don't care that you can backup the memory on my phone. It STILL takes MY OWN TIME to set up everything to how I normally use it.
Lo and behold, the network pops back up by itself an hour after I get off the phone.
Fix the problem Big Red. I rail on AT&T for exactly the same kind of response I'm getting from you now.

This comment should be put on a poster and plastered on every Verizon building. I gotta give out an AMEN on this one.
That whole turn it off and on again bullskit is getting old. It's fine for newbies, but seriously, can't those people tier their CSR for different demographics?

Top this. Without knowing of the outage, I changed my phone number. Now the phone says one number and my account says another. Bottom line is I have a brick for a phone. No 3G, no LTE, and no phone capability. Just a brick...granted it's a really thin RAZR-style brick, but a brick is a brick!!

Out in OKC. For the 3rd time this month. This doesn't include the full day that my phone dropped off of 4g for no reason that Verizon could determine (while my wife's TB was working fine on 4g), and then magically came back on its own.
I called customer service and asked if there were plans for compensation, but she said that they only think about doing that after 24 hours of a continuous outage, and then it will just be prorated. This is seriously what the rep said: "So, you're paying $29.99 a month for data, and there are 30 days in a month, so that would be ... (10 second pause while she used a calculator!!!!!!) about 1 dollar per day."
Then, even though she had already confirmed that there is a 4g outage, she suggested that I try a power down, battery/sim pull, and if that doesn't work, try pulling the battery without powering down to see if that would reconnect... Even though there is nothing to connect to right now...
Happy New Year!
