A quick Google search shows tons and tons of angry customers without 4G service that just aren't getting answers. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone last night, first with a tech rep who thought I should just turn it on and off and remove the LTE sim card, before sending me to someone who knew what he was doing, that essentially did nothing but make me do the same thing, and then tell me he was alerting the "Network Team" -
Still nothing back, still no 4G service, but the worst part? Not a word from Verizon. No official announcements, not even on their own discussion forum? I get if they don't want to look bad for potential new customers but come on, you have how many thousands of people without service now and NO update? Going on 15+ hours since this started? That's ridiculous.

In Washington, DC...
Just got something pushed down that caused the phone to reboot automatically. And after the reboot, 4G is back up and running as of 5 minutes ago.

I'm in Alexandria, VA and didn't get a reboot. I just rebooted manually and still no 3G/4G.

There is very spotty service in North Carolina...far from 'restored' calls can last no more then 2-3 minutes then it drops the call
the $G srvice here in NC is less reliable then the 3G. The 3G service was excellent the minute I went to 4G I have had nothing but intermittent service

Looks like the same outcome as last time...4G was out nationwide then restoration began on the east coast, with the rest of the nation to follow...ofcourse with us being last lol.
Restarted my phone hoping 4G would come back up, no luck...still 3G only in Phoenix, AZ. This is so lame

When you guys were only getting 3G, what were you connected to (Listed under Mobile Network Type)? (Settings --> About Phone --> Status)
Mine was showing EvDO, which I had never seen before. Mine is now Displaying LTE:14

Day 1 with new Nexus here in Atlanta and none too pleased. Had 4g momentarily last night when I purchased and it was flying. Lost netwrok connection early this am and now back up with 1 bar on 3g and Speed test reveals a whopping 173 kbps download and 167 kbps upload.
Wow. Not a great first impression. My wife has iPhone 4s with 3g and hers is flying with 4 bars of 3g.
Buyer's remorse setting in already.

That's because the problem is with the 4G LTE network, the iPhone runs strictly on the CDMA 3G network. I just got 4G LTE back in Albany, NY and am getting 25 MBps DL speeds. Give it a bit, it is not a problem with the phone but rather the 4G LTE network.
I am also using a Galaxy Nexus (And loving it :] )!
