I finally have to replace my V20, but the only phones that fit my needs and budget are non-CDMA devices.
I work in and travel through rural and mountainous areas with decent 3G, but no LTE coverage (not anecdotally, VZW map shows no service).
What is Verizon's plan for these areas? Will there just be no coverage at all, will VZW phones try to roam, do they even care?

officerbill, can you please provide an intersection and city of where this would be? Verizon Wireless doesn't guarantee coverage in all parts of the US, especially if there's little to no demographic to serve. Yes, your phone will be roaming if an existing carrier provides service where we don't.

Hi Alan,
I don't have specific addresses. These are rural, mountainous areas along the NYS/PA border and, occasionally, the lower Catskills.
Anyway, I purchased an OP 7T for daily use and I'll just swap out the SIM before I go into one of those areas.
