My service is fine when I drive to work but when i leave to come home, I can be looking at one of your towers and not have service. It has been this way for at least the last week in the 83402 area. I have been with verizon for over 10 years. Instead of expanding your network, why don't you fix what you have. I am very annoyed with the service I have gotten these past few months, from having the wrong discount applied to my account to this unacceptable service. What does it matter if you have the largest network if it doesn't work half the time.
To the point about the wrong discount, why does it only take a month for the discount to initially show up, but due to an error on your part, it take 3 months to fix it? I noticed the problem in early january when i was notified what my monthly charge was, call and was told it would be fixed in 5 days. Never heard anything, called at the end of jan or early february and was told it would be march before the discount would be fixed. Really, come on Verizon, you can do better.
If you can't, I'll take my business elsewhere. Other carriers might not have service where you do, but at least they aren't turning it off at night.
Are you sure it is a Verizon Wireless tower? It is possible that the tower was down for maintenance.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
There are multiple towers on the way to where I work since I drive 110 miles round trip to get to work each day. And yes, I am sure they are verizon towers cause the signal is strongest when I am near them during the day.
Is it possible that you cannot connect to the tower at night because that's when everyone else is using it as well?
It's just like a router for internet. If only 2 people are connected to the router using the internet you get great speed but if you have 100 people connected to the router, you wouldn't be able to connect at all.
That sounds like that is what's happening.
So no they don't turn it off but they should upgrade it to allow more connections to the tower at any given time.
Good Luck
I would think that there are less people in the area than during the day. It is not like this is an area where people live nearby hence the commute.
