HIGH DATA USERS BEWARE!!! Unacceptable 4G speeds

I've seen forum after forum of users experiencing slow speeds through Verizon, however I have yet to see anyone that has listed a long running account of those speeds. So over the past few months I have been collecting screenshots of my speeds throughout the course of my plan (before and after using the deprioritization limit), and at home and around town. Just consider these if you are considering switching to Verizon.

I have the highest Verizon 'Unlimited' plan available: the Get More 'Unlimited' plan. I get 3 out of 4 bars at home, and the full 4 in town. I usually see speeds around 1-3Mbit/sec, with an occasional burst up to 10Mbit/sec in city before the despioritization occurs. These speeds happen no matter the device the SIM is placed in and no matter the location. I can be in the center of the largest city near me, or out in the middle of nowhere and it won't get any higher. I've tested many other companies (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc) who have proven to have much faster data but unfortunantly my place of work was the only dead spot for these other companies I could find... Verizon being the only one I could get to somewhat connect there at times, if you can call it that. And my area on the service coverage map? Well, a 'super strong' 4G connection with no spotty places within 40min from me, of course!

Anyway, here are the results:

Hope this can help someone

This is called anecdotal evidence. I ran a speed test just now from Go Unlimited -- a plan with no speed priority. Got 74.1 down / 7.55 up. I live in the second largest city in this state. Your results and my results mean nothing, it 100% depends on location and how congested a tower is.Screenshot_20191222-070912.png

To have a tower(s) so congested that not even the customers who pay the extra amount for the top tier cannot even get top tier service I consider still very unacceptable. I would be fine if I could even get a constant 5Mbit/s, despite that still being a very slow speed now-a-days. Getting under 500Kbit/s any other time than 3AM in an area that I used to get speeds multiple times that of services such as Hughsnet all day long is beyond redicuolus. Even at 3AM, when almost no one is on the network, speeds may occasionally burst to 5Mbit/s. This being in an area that has not seen much growth in several years since those speeds as well. Even in the past year speeds have decreased significantly.

Sl0wLan3, reliable data speeds are a must, and we're sorry to hear that you've been experiencing issues with your data connectivity. We'd love to help find out what's going on and gather some additional details. What is your zip code? What is the make and model of your device? Do you experience signal fluctuation as well? If the issue happens everywhere, this might be an indicator of a device issue. However, we definitely want to isolate all variables and appreciate any additional information you can provide.

Area code of 28339.

As mentioned in the original post, it doesn't matter the device that the SIM is placed in. I have newer and older Android and iPhone devices and speeds don't change between them.

Signal Fluctuation does not seem to be an issue as the amount of bars tends to stay the same, unless a major storm system is passing through.

Here's a screenshot of my current speeds that I am receiving. This being on the mobile device itself. My hotspot is even slower, to the point that connected devices won't even register it as an internet access point. Now I know "during Christmas time everyone is at home using their connection", but to the point that I no longer have one is rediculous. And my area is no where near a vacation spot. Everyone leaves this place for vacation, not the other way around. This isn't 'data deprioritizing'. This isn't even data throttling. I can't even get an upload connection, and barely a download if you want to call it that. I've had more than enough of this, and this carrier has infuriated me more than enough times. I do not pay over $200/month for only talk and text. I am and will continue to be looking into other carriers, and have stopped recommending this company to friends and family. I'm sad to see this company go this way that they care so little about their services and customers. Their replies being no more than copy and paste quotes, with no resolutions given.

So today is the first day of my new billing cycle. Here are the speeds I am receiving today, data amount reset and I am supposed to be getting my 30GB 4G hotspot and 75GB 4G prioritized data.

Sl0wLan3, ensuring your services are working properly is important to us. Allow us to get a closer look. What are the 2 nearest cross streets where you're experiencing this issue primarily? Can you provide us with a screenshot of your My Verizon Data Hub page (starting from where it states the number of days left in your billing cycle), be sure to cross out your phone number before posting.

Unlimited Racket Speeds is what these plans should be called. 200-300kbs download speed. This is just sad, claim the bare minimum is 2-5Mbps and speed test shows that lie to me. The second you start downloading though and it throttles to 200kbps. If I start a VPN it goes straight to 10Mbps on download... Congestion huh... So congested that I can pull 50X speed? Right... Big red really terrible these days. I screen recorded the whole thing too.
