Verizon's coverage map says my area is 4G LTE. My understanding is that phones that aren't 4G LTE and require CDMA might work in a 4G LTE area, depending on the towers. Other than getting service put on a phone and then checking to see if it works, is there a way I can determine if the 4G LTE towers in my area also support CDMA phones?

Even 4G phones need CDMA since that is what calling and texting uses. Verizon still has it's 3G network up and running. Verizon isn't getting rid of 3G for another 6 1/2 years.
