How long will 3G service be avaiable

When will the 3G network be turned off? Sure hope not for a few years after investing in an Iphone..3G is not in my area yet and don't look for it to be in rural areas for some time hopefuly..   any clues ya'll

Verizon is not going to sell new 3G phones and turn off the 3G service. It's not something you need to be concerned about.

yeah, it'll be years maybe even over a decade before they turn off their cdma network.  Don't believe they plan to have the US blanketed with LTE until 2013 so it'll be well after that.
