I have a 3 G prepaid plan and my device is a 3 G device I heard your 3 G service is slowly being eliminated sometime between now December 2014 and late 2015 is that true or not and will my 3 G prepaid plan be effected ?
I would call tech support to get the right info.
I think it is going to go away, so basic and 3G phones will no longer work, however, I do not think it would be next year. I am not sure though.
VzW has stated that they plan to shut down the 3G network by 2021.
Just recently Verizon CEO has stated that 3G will be around at least through Dec 31 2019. I think you'll be using a 4G device by then.
