I want to buy the Htc thunderbolt off of a private owner

I am wanting to buy a phone off of another person, I was just wondering what I should ask before buying it. What I should get with it, and will it be covered under my plan.

There are several things that can prevent you from activating the phone on your line if purchasing from another person.  1) It must be deactivated from anyone else's account.  2) It cannot be on a lost/stolen list. 3) It cannot be on a non-pay disconnect account. If you call Verizon at 866-892-7957 and choose any option, you will be able to ask a tech all of these questions.  They can also let you know if it is compatible with your plan.
