Called customer service and they it's because Verizon is installing 4G XLTE. I asked when Tucson's 4G would be restored and was told they couldn't give me a date. I have not seen any announcements that we would lose 4G during the transition. Is anyone else in Tucson experiencing this or is it just me? I have a Motorola DROID RAZR

Interesting.  Now I'm beginning to wonder if that's why I'm having the same problem in Charlotte.  It was also about 2 or 3 weeks ago that 4G has been completely gone.  I first thought it might have to do with reaching the limit for 4G (Charlotte is growing quite a bit).

Is it only Tucson? If your phone is going to 3G, and won't stay connected to LTE, it's a SIM card failure. You need to speak to someone in retail about replacing your SIM card.

Ahhh makes me wonder now.  So maybe that's the real reason for my 4G loss?  My SIM card has failed?  It's likely 2 or 3 years old.  Is that the average life?  I'm assuming then that the SIM card can fail in this area but still work otherwise (storing pics, etc) since I've got no problems there.

I had the exact same issue, but from a phone I received in the mail, and never actually worked on LTE. I had my SIM replaced, and it's working like a charm now.

Which phone do you have?

I've got a Droid 4 that I bought and transferred my SIM card from my old phone (also was a Droid 4) to the new one.  It had 4G for a while until a month or two ago and this started happening.

Heh....go figure.  I powered down my phone, removed the SIM card, put it back in and 4G full bars.  What do you know.  Well guess I can take back everything I've said LOL

Thanks for the suggestions. I took the SIM card out, but wasn't successful in restoring my 4G. I'm going to take it into a store and see what they say. I have less than 2 months until I can upgrade to a new device, so it may just be a waiting game as I don't want to put any money into it.
