Purchased an LTE Internet and Home Phone Router (T1114) and hooked up to my Vista 21IP security panel. Panel communicates over IP with the security monitoring company. When installed, worked great...but a little over a week ago, it stopped allowing the arm/disarm functionality for Total Connect.
I have run the Total Connect diagnostic tool, and the results were all successful, meaning nothing is being blocked (according to the tool). My alarm monitoring company (Alarm Grid) claims it is a problem with Verizon celluar.
We almost have full signal on the verizon T1114. It worked for several months, prior to a little over a week ago.
Has verizon made any changes to the technologies in the T1114 to block certain communications? Maybe some type of inbound/outbound block?
Result: Success

GERMTROL, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your security. Are you having any issues using your internet and home phone aside from this?

No...(course not sure on phone, as we don't use that functionality, only data). And that's the strange thing. I can connect to the hub with my computer, and communication is perfect. The security system also successfully communicates with alarms and even z-wave automation function...but the Total Connect service doesn't communicate. To elaborate, Total Connect (version 2) is the functionality that allows me to remotely arm/disarm the system without going to the panel itself. This is done either through a web browser or iphone app when you are away from home.
I can move the Ethernet cable to our wired Windstream DSL connection, and total connect works. Once you move it back to Verizon hub, it stops working (meaning my ability to arm/disarm breaks, but again, it still will send out signals (which is a different signal outside of total connect) if there is an alarm).
Please note, when we first installed this around July of 2016, I believe, it worked perfectly. It's just been within the last week that it's broken.
Wondering if verizon sent out some type of firmware update that broke it?

I ran a packet sniffer last night and got these results. Does anyone see anything that would cause my panel to not be able to sync over my Verizon connection?
