LTE won't load any data

When I turn off my wifi, none of my apps load and I can't send anything in group messages. All it says is LTE. Is that 4g? If not, how can I use my apps and data? And how can I get 4g? I spent all this money, I would just like to be able to use my data.

I fully understand wanting to be able to use something you pay for. When did you start having the issue with data? What type of phone do you have? What apps are you trying to use?
