I had the same problem using the wireless "jet pac" and windows xp service pack 3 if you are running an older operating system like xp its wireless connection software will not store a network key > eight digits and dosn't play nice with with the wpa or wpa2 protocalls that are default with the jet pack. with the jetpack I could downgrade the security protocall to wep with a 5 digit ascii network key or run as an unsecured network. The changes can be made on its administration page. I don't see the wep security option on my droid razr phone. As a workaround you may have set your hotspot security to open network and set max connections to the number of devices you're using.
Hope this helps
Bruce
