New data plans July 7th -- here comes the data caps!

Dear Verizon Wireless,

You now charge the same ammount for 2GB per month that you used to charge for unlimited access.  You advertise fast 4G speeds, capable of face-to-face video chat, streaming netflix, and "faster downloads", then impose a monthly data cap that a LTE user could exhaust in a matter of hours.

As a final insult, you then impose an additional fee for tethering.  Despite charging by the gigabyte, you still can't let the customer decide how to use it.  The old big-red tactics of charging extra for a built-in function is alive and well.

Bad form, Verizon, shame on you.

Well... Given the state of VZW's LTE network, I was only able to coax or ahem... coerce 1.5gb out of it over the last month. I guess if you go with the marketing claims instead of the current realities , you may be able to blow away your 2 GB cap in no time . But not likely if you are using one of the current LTE devices.

Comcast has 4g unlimited for $40 a month....

I'd like to keep Verizon WL and do the same but.............

I'll see what happens July 7th, may have to make a change here
