No more 4G?

My Razr Maxx HD has always gotten 4G service, now I'm down to 3G and sometimes 1X.  What gives?  I live in NE Tennessee.

Same here but I'm in California.  I just got Verizon a month ago because I get a good discount from my employer.  It was fantastic the first 2 weeks then all the sudden, I barely get 4G with 1 bar ever.  Always 3G or 1x.  I tried to talk to customer service but they just tried to sell me something else claiming that it would make it better.  Uh…I pay enough monthly to not
have to buy something extra to get service to work, right?  Since I passed the “return” period, I’m stuck.

I’ve had the phone almost a year and no problems at all until now.  Trying to sell you something to make it work better sounds like a bunch of **...the customer service person obviously was clueless.

Hi Amorain,

We are definitely better than poor service! First, I want to say that we are happy to have you join in the Verizon Wireless Family. Next, lets dig a little deeper to get this issue resolved. What zipcode are you in? Is this issue occuring indoors only? Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Zip code is 91730 and the issue is all over the place, indoors or outdoors.  I barely get 1 bar in 4G and then it switches to 3G or 1X.  I've done the Sim Card thing way to many times to remember so don't suggest that.

@kssams

I want you to enjoy our lightning fast 4G LTE network on your Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD again!

When did this problem begin?  Is this an intermittent issue, or are you unable to get a 4G signal at all?  What zip code are you in, and how is the service when you are outdoors?

Let's try removing and reinserting the 4G SIM Card http://vz.to/18yLpw4.  Then ensure the network mode settings are set to LTE/CDMA http://vz.to/1a4bDKa.  Keep me posted so I can further assist.  Thanks!

Hey, Anthony, thank you for your response.  This has been going on for a couple of weeks.  I live in zip code 37604.  It has been constant...either 3G or 1X at times instead of 4G.

I removed the SIM card and replaced it, and that seems to have taken care of the issue!  Weird!  Thank you so much for your help!

That's excellent kssams. Removing the SIM forces the phone to reactivate. I'm glad that helped.
