I have a USB551L (LTE) USB Modem that is used to provide Internet service in my rural home (20180 zip code); I currently have a 30Gbyte / month plan. It is NOT the best coverage; however, it typically provides apprx 8 Mbps download 2-3 Mbps upload speeds... decent enough for LTE.
Approximately 6PM, yesterday (06/24/2014, 18:00 Eastern), the LTE signal "dropped." In the past, simply unplugging and replugging in the LTE Modem will restore coverage quickly. The device displays several light sequences as it negotiates the LTE signal; however, now, it does not reconnect.
Is there a known LTE outage or maintenance in this area?
FYI, If I don't recycle power, it will normally reconnect -- usually after an hour or so. This particular situation is very unusual
There is an outage in the area, that is actually affecting a good number of customers.

(This is not official, but still fairly reliable.)
As of this morning, there has been no change - no 3G / LTE connectivity AT ALL.
I'd sure like to hear from VzW Customer Service to confirm if there is an mobile data (3G and LTE) outage for the 20180 area code -- even parts of it?
Thanks in advance and Thanks to LRVassar for the information.
Have you tried calling them? That would be the fastest response.
