Problems with service

I have been a Verizon customer for a very long time and have NEVER had the problems with service like we are having now. What is going on?? Suddenly calls are being dropped. Suddenly we have days of no service at all and when we try to make a call, Verizon says "you are roaming purchase a pin". We pay around $250 per month for phone service that is useless at least 50% of the time and I am not buying an additional "pin"...WHY???? What has changed? My husband has a 5G Samsung and I have a 4G Motorola, both work about the same. We pay for the top unlimited service. We are fed up and ready to switch carriers. Verizon  is stealing our money, we are paying for a service that is not being provided and we are sick of it!
