SLOWWW SERVICE Since we switch to unlimited

We had a limited plan with Verizon for as long as I can remember. Every once in a while we would go over our allotted amount so we decided to switch to unlimited. Bad bad decision… My kids seem to have better service than my husband and I do. And we’re paying the bill! I hate it and regret going to unlimited. Before I had dependable service… now it’s hit or miss. 
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I can already tell you switched to Start Unlimited.
