What the hell? I tried to set up my user name and password so I could have access to my verizon account. They sent a temporary password to the number associated with my 4G modem but called it my cell phone number but its not my cell phone number . Support told me it's my 4G number. So how the hell can I get a text message with my temp password that has been sent to my 4G number? That {word filter avoidance}
stupid. The 4G modem is not a cell phone that can recieve text messages via a phone number.

You can get text messages through your vzacess manager. Each modem has a number attached to it..
If you can't seem to figure out vzacess manager you can always have the password mailed to you

Well I installed vzacess but it will not recognize the samsung verizon 4G LTE wireless modem. So I'm guessing that the device is not capable of text messages?

The Samsung 4G Hotspot is not only not capable of being interfaced with VZaccess, it has no text messaging capabilities. When you upgrade to that device, if you had a text messaging package, it was automatically removed.
All messages from Verizon should automatically be sent to the subscribers email when they have this device as there is no option to get the message otherwise.

The one other way to do this is to find anyone you know or go to a Verizon store with your sim card from the Samsung and put it in a different phone to get the text message. This has to be done in the first 24 hours. After that they do not attempt to send it.
I had mine sent via mail.
Is there any way to call and find out the current monthly usage?

All the wireless modems have a ten digit mobile number associated with the line. Both 4G modems we offer are messaging capable and you can retrieve the message using the VZ Access Manager.
To view the text message with the temporary password click on the TXT Message tab and you will see the message in the inbox.
Thanks

There is no version of VZAccess for the 4G modems the download page says it's not required but the manager built in to the device has no option to recieve text mesages.
I am having the same problem, btw.
