Unlimited Data isn't what it used to be

I have noticed the past few weeks that my signal shows the following X in my signal strength at random intervals through out the day. This morning it lasted for close to 3 hours:

Nothing data wise functions although everything indicates it should. This is in my house where service is normally on point. Why is this happening on my Nexus 6?
