I live in Anchorage, Alaska and was recently sent an email by Verizon telling me I was eligible for a free upgrade because of the new LTE towers up here. When I called Verizon I brought up my concerns that I would not be able to activate my phone in Alaska because there are no voice services up here, but the representative ASSURED me I would be able to activate it in Alaska. In the past I have had to activate phones in the Lower 48. Well, now I have the phone but I cannot activate it. How do I activate my new phone in Alaska?
