I have been a costomer for more than 5 years...I
want to be able to upgrade my phone when I want.
I would consider getting a 1 year contract, unlimited data plans
to bring in younger audiences, also family plans, hey T-moble
can do it so can Verizon. PLus whats up with the Verizon stores
disappearing, so embarassing while AT&T and T-Mobile stores
continue to plague the poor communities who can't affors Verizon
sad but very true just go outside and count how many stores closed.

1)You can upgrade your phone anytime you want. Doesn't mean that Verizon is going to give you a break on the price, though.
2)No luck with the 1yr contracts, though, as Verizon just did away with those. You can pay full retail and not have ANY contract, though.
3)Verizon currently has unlimited data plans.
4)Verizon currently has Family Talk plans and Family Talk & Text plans. No, Verizon does not have Family Data plans everywhere, but they are testing them in some markets. Could happen in the future.
5)No Verizon stores have closed in my area for quite awhile. In fact, I can think of 2 new ones that have opened in the past year.
