When is 4g LTE coming to my town?

Hi,

I live in an area with a bunch of towns in a valley around a small city. Within a few miles it's city & countryside. My question is since the zip code next to me has 4g LTE home internet and 2 miles away in parts of the city they have 4g LTE home internet, when can I get LTE? I have a Verizon smartphone and according to your maps this area has 4g & 5g (basic) coverage. I have Verizon aDSL for $79.99/month with 5 Mbps download internet.

Thank you from a Veteran and my wife a Disabled Veteran

Hello,

I have replied through pm & my wife used her login to send a message. She received a request for a zip code but neither of us have heard back since then.

I'm definitely sorry to learn that you haven't received a response back. I can help right here. What is your current zip code? -Jordan

     Zip 18709.

Your Zip code map includes 18708 which is right next to my town.

Verizon map also covers 18707 and 18706 which are the other side of the valley. Not included in your zip code list is parts of Wilkes-Barre zip 18702.

Lordthor2001, we want to make sure you can enjoy the 4G service. When taking a look at our coverage map, we see you have 4G and 5G Nationwide coverage in the zipcode of 18709 and 4G in the 18702 zipcode. What signal do you see at the top of your phone when you have wifi turned off? Also, what is the make and model phone you're using? You can also check out our coverage map here with this link. https://www.verizon.com/coverage-map/ -Alex

Awhile ago I chatted with Marcus from Verizon at 16:34, Jun 21, 2021.  As far as my phone, it's a 4G model with a 4G signal. Motorola Moto Z3 no 5G pack add-on. Wife's phone is older 4G.

Verizon coverage map shows 4G & 5G coverage. I am looking for Home Internet not mobile internet.

Fios is not available here.

                        Thank You

Adding Verizon LTE unlimited home (fixed) internet.  Not unlimited roaming data.

Verizon page:

The right internet.
For the right price.

Get our fast, reliable 4G LTE wireless network delivered right to your home. Plus get a $200 Gift Card, on us. Terms apply

Advertised at $40 w/terms+ fees, $60 w/fewer terms+ fees.

We have 2 Verizon smartphones but our base plan wouldn't qualify us for the discounted price.

Thank You.

Hi again,

I replied to the pm I received on my account on Sept. 08 2021.

I sent 3 private messages and have not heard back.

The only internet Verizon offers me on the official Verizon page is DSL (which I have at 5Mbps) or information to contact another company named HughesNet Satellite (which is a 80% owned by Dish Network) which offers slightly higher speeds with 25 GB monthly limits and high prices.

The Verizon area compatibility tool states that if I want faster, more reliable internet, I should sign up with Hughesnet Satellite service which offers 50 gigs of data/ month with a max download speed of 25 Gbps for $150/ month. They are owned by Comcast/Xfinity. My other internet choice is Comcast/ Xfinity satellite, wifi or cable.

I am a Veteran who only makes $17/ hour and my wife is a disabled Veteran who does not work.

When I saw the offer for 4G LTE home WiFi for $40 that is available near me (considering I am covered by both 4G & 5G Verizon maps) I thought I could get inexpensive, reliable internet. I've been a customer of Verizon as have my parents back to the days of Ma Bell.

Less than 1 mile away, in a city of 40K, some people can get 4G LTE home internet and some of them have Fios. (By the way, the city is currently in negotiations with Verizon for 5G UW infrastructure, which won't effect the 40K people on the other side of the river.) I'm across the river and can't get either. ( I've already talked to your residential people & they said there is no timeline for Fios in my town.

I pay Verizon $79.99 for aDSL which goes bad when there are thunderstorms within 25 miles.

Oops Hughesnet should have read 25 Mbps download speed.

Ok. Does Verizon have a non-competition agreement with Comcast for my town ?

I can't even get AT&T Wi-Fi here.

Only Comcast & their divisions.

A pair of disappointed Vets.

Hello,

Still trying to get an answer.

Comcast offers wi-fi internet in my town.

A third party vendor supposedly offers Verizon LTE for $149.00/month + $199 membership fee here.

The same vendor offers T-Mobile at similar high rates.

Does this mean there is a non-competition contract  between Comcast and Verizon that means I am unable to get unlimited internet plans in my area?                                                                                         Is Verizon leasing data usage to Comcast so they have wi-fi?                                                                      All Comcast related companies offer only limited plans at prices higher than Verizon.

Verizon  $40/$60 unlimited

Comcast/HughesNet Minimum price: $59.99+$10 line fee+ equip, etc. 10GB monthly data allotment.   Prices increase from there.
