COMMANDER2001, having the fastest in speeds is a must. Help is here. I will need to gather more information from you to properly assist. What is your zip code? Also, to pin point this issue, does the slow speeds happen primarily indoors or outdoors? What is your current data plan with us? Lastly, are others also experiencing the same issues?

GARBAB20, I see you shared a zip code with us. I checked out the zip code and found no reported problems in that area. Are you sharing that zip code because you've run into slower speeds? If so, could you run a speed test and share what your Download/Upload speeds are?

For reference, I'm going to share a page where you can see what our average LTE speeds are: http://spr.ly/6581DIrL7

Thank you for letting us know as these are all great details, COMMANDER2001. I looked over the zip code, but found no trending alarms in the area. How often and how far below 5mbps are your speeds going? If they are close to 5mbps, that is still within the acceptable range for 4G LTE. Just in case, what is the make and model of the phone you are using? This way we can ensure your phone is working optimally for your area.

Got it. Thanks, COMMANDER2001. I noticed that you are reporting speeds around 5Mbps and up. This would be within the LTE range. Do you notice speeds slower than that?

COMMANDER2001, let's get a full picture of your data situation. How long have you been having problems with your data? Please share your current upload and download speeds. A good starting point for 4G LTE would be Uploads speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps and Downloads speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps. Do you notice a difference at certain times of the day?

I just switched to GoUnlimited too, and I am getting 0.41 to 0.55 Mbps speeds download. Frustrating as I can see a tower about 0.5 miles away. 95573 zip

With the Go Unlimited Plan you can be deprioritized at any time there is congestion on a tower. If you are using the hotspot feature, the devices connected to the hotspot will have a maximum of 600 kbps speeds for the hotspot data.

My phone (the hotspot provider) is slower than the iPad. Maybe it’s our rural location because I checked with our son in Seattle and he’s getting 24 MBps! Same plan.

Your son's phone might not be on a congested tower. Go Unlimited FAQs | Verizon Wireless

Bc707, getting fast and reliable data is your priority and providing it is ours. Rest assured we will find a solution. Please elaborate, what exactly happens when you attempt to use your internet browser or data based apps?

Thanks for your response. On 9/2/18 I was only getting around 0.5 Mbps on both my iPhone and iPad through my iPhone hotspot. On 9/3 I was getting acceptable 8 Mbps on my phone. I was only getting 0.1-0.2 Mbps through the hotspot on my iPad. I was not aware that the fastest hotspot speed would be 0.6 Mbps until Ann154 pointed it out with the link above. I assume the slow speed on 9/2 was due to our remote location 95573.

COMMANDER2001, we always want to ensure that you’re getting the proper speeds that you deserve. While 8 mbps is certainly well within range, we’ll want to do better with your 1.5 mbps to 3 mbps. Just to confirm, was this your upload or download speed? Was the speed test performed indoors or outdoors? When did you first start to notice that there was a concern with your speeds?

This is crazy and getting old pretty fast, Verizon sees all these complaints and they have not done anything to fix it. I am literally trying to play a game on my phone and I have 3 bars of LTE and it says that there is no internet connection. We pay top dollar as customers so we expect top service. Sometimes I feel that I should of stayed with the competition since I get same speeds but a higher bill this time.
