Why Has My Speed Decreased On The Unlimited Plan?

Since I switched from my grandfathered alltel planto the new unlimited verizon plan my speed is down to nothing- takes forever for a page to load. My location is the same just a different plan! I dont even get 1 mbps down now. Guessing I should have kept the old plan!
