Wildly inconsistent speed with MiFi

I am getting wildly inconsistent download speeds using MiFi 8800L - rating from 11 mbps with an immediate retest of .5 mbps. Strong signal then complete downturn without a pattern. This started approx 12/29
We are a household of two remote workers and do not typically have issues, but it has become nearly impossible to hold video conference calls. Nothing has changed in terms of our setup or devices.
Any advice?
