I regret to read that you hate your Thunderbolt, Jbutler53. Were you having problems with 3G & 4G connection?
Were you aware of the Thunderbolt Software Update? This update does address the issues with data connectivity on the Thunderbolt.
I would first recommend backing up any important information from your Thunderbolt to a computer. Once you have backed up the information, go through the software update process. As with any software update, it is recommended that you perform a hard reset.
***Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.***
