Hi, I saw where our new Verizon tower we're getting in Shelby, Ohio is up and must have power finally going to it because the marker lights that they install on these things for aircrafts are finally blinking. So what I'm wondering is if anyone knows exactly how long it takes for a tower to be fully up and running after all of this?

It can be a year or more. That marker light is required once the tower hits a certain height. There are towers all over northern Indiana that have had nothing but marker lights for years. I guess people hoping a cell company would lease it to place antennas.
Just watch your phone. If it is a 4G device, you will see a huge drop in battery life when they begin to test and you will see the 4G icon come and go. From that point usually a month for a quiet go live period, then another month on the 20th it will be announced it has gone live.

I got my Lucid in July and in mid Spetemebr Verizon lit up 4G. I have did not notice a depreciation of battery life. In fact since the ICS update in Oct I get more battery life.

I was speaking of when they test. At least here, when the signal came and went, it would zap my battery quickly. Once live, good to go
