As i now see many others have had the same issue, wanted to share my information regarding the same issues ive been having regarding redeeming the $200 home depot gift card that was offered to me when i signed up for the 5g home internet addition to my mobile plan.
Signed up for the 5g home internet on 7-20-2023, received an order confirmation email. Near the bottom of the email it mentions i will be receiving an email with instructions on how to redeem this, and behold, i have never received the email and it is not in my junk folder. I had been patiently waiting to receive the information and decided i need to get in contact with someone about it, which was today, 12-18-2023.
At the bottom of the email it mentions that the offer needs to be redeemed before 12-26-2023, so i called customer service today. After waiting 20 - 30 minutes i was finally connected to "Bob". I asked bob about the offer, after asking me if i was referring to the $50 home depot gift card offer i let him know again that i was calling about the $200 home depot gift card offer for signing up for 5g home internet.
After a few minutes of being on hold he let me know that the offer expired in June of 2023 and that is why i have not received anything. I let him know that in the email it says the offer was good through 7-26-23 which was after i had made the purchase.
After another rather long hold time he came back to tell me that my situation had been "escaladed" to someone higher up i assume and that my $200 home depot gift card was "approved".
Bob said i should receive an email & a text message from whoever my situation was escalated to within 10 days with information about how to receive the gift card.
I informed bob that 10 days from now is after the offers expiration date, i asked if this would present an issue with redeeming the gift card if i do not receive communication until after the expiration date and bob said no, it would not because the situation was escalated, to who im still unsure.
He also informed me to call back at the same customer service # if i did not hear anything from anyone within the 10 days & verified my email with me through an emailed link.
Before the call ended, out of nowhere Bob offered me a new samsung galaxy 23 when i added another line, i firmly declined. I just thought this was odd to offer this when the call was not related to this at all.
From the start of my call to the end, it lasted 1 hr, 2 minutes & 30 seconds, which seems crazy to me that it takes this long just to get information on a common offer that the company advertises.
Looking forward to receiving the correct information on how to redeem this $200 home depot gift card, but i doubt i will get it after reading what others have been through to try to get this.
