$50 Amazon Gift Card

I "recieved" a $50 Amazon Gift Card for getting Verizon installed for my home wifi. When I go to redeem the offer, the tile cannot be clicked. I have tried all of the things. Log in and out, delete and re-install the app, etc. Does anyone have a way to get this done?

 

The door-to-door rep that signed us up promised a bill reduction for our students being in Public School, but discovered that was only for students recieving free and reduced lunch. He also promised the Amazon gift card, but it does not seem to be redeemable. 

 

Feeling frustrated and annoyed.

I’m having trouble claiming my gift card also. Why is response in “private message “. Send an email so I can redeem. This is crazy

I am just hoping this works so that I don't have to sit on hold for a long time and probably call multiple times to find the one representative that can actually help.

Attempted several times to redeem this and the response from Amazon is:

The gift card is not redeemable in this region.

Unfortunately, this gift card is not eligible for Amazon.com. To use the balance, please redeem your gift card at www.amazon.com/gc/redeem.

That added information from Amazon produces no results either.

The comment in part "this region" I believe is the key to why Amazon refuses to acknowledge/redeem it.

We are sorry to read that you are running into issues with using your gift card wxstation. To make sure we understand, you were able to complete the redemption process, but Amazon is not allowing you redeem the balance? When you contacted Amazon, were they able to share any additional information regarding what "this region" means?

When attempting to contact Amazon regarding this matter, a link was provided and we ended up starting over with the process of trying to redeem that card, but received the same response.   I do have an Amazon account, but that did not seem to make any difference.    I will be glad to furnish the Gift Card # in private email if needed.

Thank you for the offer, we would not be able to check any details of the Gift Card other than confirming if/when it was sent to a customer. We would recommend contacting Amazon to see if they can share what that error means. We could possibly attempt to re-issue a gift card, but it sounds like the issue is with being able to use the gift card itself on your account and a new gift card may carry the same result.

Several attempts to resolve this matter with Amazon have met with no resolve as in each attempt asking the question, what is the meaning of:

"The gift card is not redeemable in this region".   Each time the question was ignored and in one instance it was said, "Error messages are very few" or words to that effect.

In addition I have now lost the original email from Verizon informing to get a "$50 Amazon Gift Card on us".

The card number on that particular email is no longer visible even in my notes.

I am no longer going to pursuit this matter as I have spent way too much time seeking a resolve for a $50 Amazon Gift Card as a perk or reward for signing up with Verizon's 5G Home Network.

Having located the original email from Verizon regarding the Amazon Gift Card in the amount of $50, i got into a 90 minute chat with Amazon support, which re-directed me thru five or six separate individuals and the final analysis was that the Amazon Gift card sent to me by Verizon has already been redeemed.  

Pressing the issue somewhat, I asked why it was not added to my Amazon account, and it was stated again, contact Verizon, the number on your card enclosed in the email has been redeemed and that is the reason you have been receiving a rejection.

Just for the record, I NEVER did get the $50 Amazon gift card redeemed and interesting to note my Verizon history shows no gift deals redeemed.   That tells me it's' a Verizon problem.

 Received new email regarding Amazon e-gift card and same result when attempting to redeem thru Amazon - they've got a standard message that in part is saying this card or number is not valid in this region.  We have diligently attempted to get a better explanation as to what that means other than it's not acceptable, but no reply.    This "region" seems to be the key, but no clue as to what that means.
