Verizon offered a promotion when changing to 5g home internet in December 2023. We would receive a Xbox X, $100 Verizon gift card and either a $200 Amazon gift card or an echo show 10. I’ve called Verizon NUMEROUS times and am assured by various representatives that I would be getting this promotion. Still nothing as of 2/16/24. How can Verizon offer this promotion and not follow thru with what they clearly offered? Very disappointed.

Moral of the story for whoever reads this….order online instead of in store. Salespeople can tell you anything they want to, either correct or incorrect just to push a product without any repercussions. Customer service chose to decline my request to honor the promotion.

I purchased my Verizon 5G Home Internet and activated service on 12/15/23 with the same promotion offer of Xbox Series X, $100 Verizon Gift Card, and choice of $200 Amazon Gift Card or Amazon Echo. After activating services, I reached out to Verizon and was guaranteed the promotion but would not be able to redeem the offers until after 60 days of service. As of today 2/16/24 I have not received any of the promotions and have been on the line with a rep now for going on 30min and no resolution. I have been a valued Verizon customer for 10 years and I am very disappointed in the lack of support provided by Verizon.

Hello Melissa,
Yes I do still need help, the representative was unable to assist and is going to have a supervisor follow up. If Verizon offered this promotion and not only just to myself and many others have experienced the same issue, Verizon should be taking care of this right away. Since I signed up for Verizon 5G Home Internet with the correct plan I should receive my offer of Xbox Series X, $100 Verizon Gift Card, & choice of $200 Amazon Gift Card or Amazon Echo; with out having to jump through all of these hoops.

I agree Skipsterr. It’s a complete shame what’s going on here. Offer promotions and was promised I am “100% entitled to receive the promotions” as per a Verizon representative on 2 separate occasions when I spent hours on the phone. Not just one part of the promotion, but all 3 of the promotional items. I’ve been a Verizon customer going way back to the early 1990’s. If I wasn’t completely assured I was getting all the promotional items, I would have thought twice about changing from my cable provider. To me it’s the principle of the matter. I know what I was told and promised. Now surprise magically I don’t qualify. They don’t care about us as loyal brand customers.

Wow, this is amazing how we are having the exact same problem with this promotion. I don't understand why Verizon would offer such a promotion just to upset their long-time customers. I will come back to his chat and update if and when I receive the 3 items I was promised in this promo. I have been assured that I will receive 2 of the items in a week so we will see how that goes. I'm still working on the Amazon gift card.

I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with Verizon and I can see the image clearly. I have a very lengthy call log from all the times I’ve called Verizon. Assured 100% by 2 representatives I would be getting the promotion. Still nothing!

I am currently dealing with this situation also. Today I finally spoke with a cs rep that helped with some of this situation. I still have to wait and see if it will all get resolved; but I know exactly how you feel. I have spent so many hours on here chatting and providing the same info over and over.

I'm in the same boat. Actually got the email for the 100 Verizon gift card and just checked the balance and it says zero. What a joke. Never got the 200 Amazon gift card either. Spoke with 3 different people and they assured me I'd receive an email with it. Never received the email. I did the get the Xbox for my wife at least.

Checked using #4438, per the email, and also attempted to pay my bill with it, which said zero balance.

I also never received any emails on how to redeem the Xbox, Amazon gift card, and Verizon gift card. I called on 3/12/24 and they said it was being "escalated" and I'd receive the re-issued promos within 3-5 days. Nine days later and still nothing. So I called again. Still no complete resolution, but did get some. The customer service agent Skylar was wonderful and was doing the most she could (well, as far as she said she could).
After asking to speak with a manager Skylar had me on hold for a couple of minutes. She came back saying that the manager was allowing for her to order the Xbox. So I got that ordered and should arrive early next week. The Amazon gift card I still need to wait for the "escalation department". The most surprising of all was that she wasn't able to issue a Verizon gift card, but could offer bill credit. Huh? Not sure how that makes sense but it was perfectly fine because I was planning on paying my bill with the gift card anyways.
So overall, I'm not thrilled with their overall process and the way they make us, the customers, jump through hoops to receive these gifts. If Verizon doesn't intend to give them why offer? Seems like false advertising to me. But my 5G Home Plus internet is working, fast, reliable, and cheaper than Spectrum so I can't complain there.
