Just wanted to share my personal account as a new/returning customer .
I left Verizon three years ago after numerous price increases and a lack of appreciation for loyal customers. You truly get what you pay for because our service with T-Mobile was terrible so we came back to Verizon.
we were talked into singing up for Verizon’s internet while in the store with the promise of the first 3 months being free and a charge of $45/month after that. It was a chaotic experience as the rep we were working with didn’t know what he was doing and first told me they would send our router, then he brought me a router yet did not cancel the one they were supposed to send so my bill kept showing a charge for two routers the first few months. I also have had to call Verizon every month to get the credit for the free months we were promised. Additionally, I now see they are offering a $200 Target gift card for new internet customers but we were not offered this option (which we would obviously have taken considering it is worth a lot more than the 3 free months). This has really left a terrible impression on me regarding how they treat their customers. . I know Verizon has superior phone and internet service at least in my area but I really hate how inconsistent they are with each customer.
I can only hope it gets better. If anyone is considering signing up for internet make sure you research what incentives they are offering as they seem to be all over the place.
