Please Help. I accepted an offer on May 22, 2023, at a Verizon kiosk in a Costco store in Bonney Lake, WA. The offer stated that if I added a new line to my existing Verizon wireless account, I would receive a $250 Costo shop card after 90 days of service. I accepted and added the new line thru new 5G+ home internet wireless service which qualified me for the promotion. I was told that I would receive an email about the shop card. The first Router given to me was defective and wouldn't activate even though I tried many times while talking with a Verizon tech trying to help me. I returned the defective router June 2, 2023, to a Verizon store as directed and have a receipt for that return. The Verizon tech directed me to pick up another Router at a Verizon store, I did that, it worked, and I activated it and my 5G+ internet service on June 1, 2023. I've never received the $250 Costco shop card and it's been more than 90 days of 5G+ home internet service. I initiated an Online Chat with customer service through Verizon support on Sept 7, 2023. I was on the Online Chat for 1 1/2 hours with Mary (I have her chat ID) in the Wireless Team dept and I have a transcript of the online Chat. I explained everything to her, and she researched the problem and said that she tried but couldn't resolve it that day, she promised that she would escalate the problem, email Costco, continue to work on the problem and would get back to me in 7-10 days via email. I've never heard from her or anyone. I called Costo customer service on 9/25/23 and spoke to Steve in the corporate office, he said Costco doesn't send out those shop cards, Verizon does after verifying agreed on promotional terms. I'm very upset at Verizon! Please advise.

Thank you for reaching out today. I'm sorry to hear of all your trouble. As that promotion was done by Costco not Verizon, you would need to work with them directly for gift card assistance.

Thanks for your answer. I disagree and ask you are you very sure of that? The offer was shown on the wall of the Verizon kiosk and I was given a flyer that states that the $250 Costco shop card offer will be sent digitally via the email on our Verizon account after the 90 day return period. I have the flyer and it's clearly Verizon endorsed. Please speak to your manager. I'd like to go up to the next level and speak with your managers supervisor. As I said in my forum discussion, I called Costco corporate customer service about this. We are executive members. I spoke with Steve and he's worked there for 25 years. He said they no longer send out the shop cards because they can't verify that a Verizon customer account has met terms. He said Costco send cases of shop cards to Verizon to send out in the mail or given via email digitally. This is very bad publicity for Verizon and Costco. I have read the state of Washington consumer fraud site and I'm prepared to file a claim if this isn't resolved. I am a long-time loyal Verizon customer and I'm shocked that this is happening. Please go to the top of your organization and get this resolved.

I am having the same issue. I opened a new line for my son as a gift for his birthday. We bought a new phone and added a line to our Verizon account. We have been with Verizon for a long time. I went back and tried to get assistance with the same person that helped me back on July 11, 2023. He said that he will reach out to his supervisor, and I just need to leave all my information. I did that and two weeks later, I haven't heard anything from them. I called Verizon and I was told that it's a rebate and I miss my time to send the receipt to process the rebate. I said that nobody told me about sending or processing the rebate. I feel that it is very wrong to advertise a promotion and not follow through. I am expecting to have it to use for my other son's birthday gift. Please advise on this. Obviously, no one here can assist me in person or on the phone.

I have the same problem with other people from this post. I switched 4 lines to Verizon back around June 15, 2023 and 5 months later, I still have not received the $250 Costco gift card per line. I contacted the Costco customer service department, people who work at the Verizon kiosk in Costco's and Verizon mobile customer service department. The answers ranged from we were very busy and you would get them later, or call Verizon's, or from Verizon to call Costco's. Please help with what steps I need to get this resolved. Thanks.

I would love to receive a Direct Message as well please, as I am also having the same issue not receiving a few Costco Shop Cards. I activated two Home Internet lines and did three upgrades. I have it on each receipt I am eligible to receive Costco Shop Cards for each purchase.

koelinge, I get wanting to be able to use that Costco gift card. Being a Costco guy myself, definitely more than a few things I'd spend that on with my next visit. I have worked on this situation with some other customers. One thing we found is it was important to check your email for the gift cards. Costco sends the gift cards from the email address, "costco@digitalshopcard.costco.com." I highly recommend checking your Inbox, junk or spam folder, for any emails from that sender. In many cases, the customer I was working with found their Costco gift cards by looking for that email. Please if you could check your email, I’d appreciate it. If you searched and didn’t locate it, just let us know.
