I signed up for the 5G home internet and was told for being a new customer, I would receive my choice of a $200 egift card for Xbox or Home Depot after 60 days. My 60 days was up on Aug. 12th. I went on the Verizon site and claimed my $200 Home Depot egift card and it stated that I would receive this via email within 48 hours. I waited a week and did not receive. I did the online chat with an agent and they said there was an error and put in some kind of request for the egift card to be sent out and this would take 5-7 business days. I waited 2 weeks and still not egift card. This time I called and spoke to an agent, he said the egift card was sent to the incorrect email address and wasn't sure why because I verified the email address listed on my account. He supposedly talked to the rebate team to correct my email and they were sending another egift card to my correct email address and this would take up to 3 business days. I waited another week and nothing. I called again and spoke to another agent and went through the same process and this time she stated I would receive the egift card within 24 to 48 hours. I waited 5 days due to the weekend and the holiday. I called a fourth time and talked to another agent and got the same response that it will take another 24 to 48 hours. The rebate team refused to send the egift card right away even though I have now been waiting for almost a month to receive this. I have been a customer for 12 years and this is the treatment I get!
I feel like this was a lie, Verizon will offer you deals by going with their internet but will never give you the deals, just keep lying to you.
