Home Depot $200 Gift Card

Signed up for Home Internet and was offered an Xbox S console or a $200 Home Depot Gift card. The email I received giving me directions for claiming either didn't work. I've chatted, called, been transferred, hung up on, etc. 

I can see the offer on my account but every time I try to claim it, it gives me a 'contact us' message. All I do is chase my tail.      

Today when I tried to claim it again, got the same 'contact us' message plus the option to choose the Xbox S Console is no longer an option. Wonder when the option to claim the Home Depot card will disappear?

Apparently, the customer service reps can't even see your account any longer. They used to have top notch customer service. The last one I talked to  had a rooster crowing in the back ground.

Great news! I finally received the Home Depot Gift Card and spent it all. It's very frustrating that I had to fight for it, but lesson learn.

Good luck! And keep pressuring Verizon.

Google the CEO of Verizon and copy all the messages you are receiving from the community and mail him the letter and attachments . I did and I am getting my gift certificate in 4 weeks

I am still waiting on the $200 home depot gift card as the part of the July promo for Verizon internet. One of the customer service agents lied to me and said he could only give me $200 credit to my Verizon account if I had a balance. He said he would call me in 1 month to apply the $200 balance in credit to my account and he never did. I'm tired of spending hours and hours with Verizon to try to get this promotion. Now they're trying to only give me $50. Verizon where is my $200 promotional credit I was promised?

I have the same problem. I waited for 60 days to claim my reward. They were selling Fios service with this and I can't find how to claim and the reps don't see it in my account.

Same boat as everyone else…the ole bait and switch from Verizon.  I too signed up for their home internet expecting to get an Xbox or the $200 Home Depot gift card.  The “for you on us” was never an option.  I finally had to call and it took the lady in the phone about 15mins to finally find where the link was.  I tried it with her on the phone and surprise, it didn’t work for her or me. She said to just keep trying.  So I did.  Every day. With of course no luck. Not only did it never work, but if I wanted to claim the Xbox, that was grayed out and never an option.  So I’d start a chat online and was told it would be “elevated.”  I never saw anything. So I tried the online chat 3 more times. One time I was on line for well over an hour and I “talked” to 5 different people. All were supposed to be experts in this matter and all just kept handing me to the expert that could really help me. Then finally I was told it was resolved and should be getting my Home Depot gift card last week. It never came and I received an email staying there having trouble processing my rebate. So now the time has pasted for me to redeem this and I’m sure they’ll claim that next. Too late to get it. Sorry. 

Its unacceptable that so many people are having to deal with this.

Verizon offers 5G home service in our area, and they offer a promotion for a Xbox or Home Depot gift card for signing up. I really like the service itself, it’s fast and reliable.  BEWARE!  This is a ska m. There is no way to actually get the promotion, get resolution or reach a manager with any accountability.

 

After signing up in June, I have spent time with a dozen customer support reps for a total of about 10 hours and it has turned into a fun pastime. Five months later, now in November, they are still promising to send me a gift card!

 

In October, I finally reached the department they setup to deal with fallout of all the promotions never being awarded and recorded the call with the rep. It is insanely entertaining. The customer service reps are ALL so nice and really try to fix the issue,  but in the end they admit the corporation is counting on customers giving up in frustration. I will not give up. Ever!!!

I am having the same issue! It's has been since September and I have yet to receive my card. Every time you use the app it errors out. Now It has been completely removed from my online portal.

In the same boat. I have talked to the 3 different times now with multiple reassuring messages they would get it sorted out. Still haven't received it. Wonder how many they didn't send?

I have the same issue.  Is there a supervisor that can authorize the card or are we just supposed to keep calling and spend hours on the phone with someone that can't give us the card?

I discovered this same problem today. I signed up for Verizon Fios in July, was promised a $200 Gift Card to Home Depot and a $100 Gift Card to Verizon. I received and used the Verizon gift card but have NOT received the Home Depot gift card though it is reading as redeemed in my account. 

Customer service told me via chat an email was sent on 9/22, however I never received it. They directed me to call a number for Verizon prepaid cards which is not the right department to resolve this. 


I need a resolution to this or I will be reporting to my state attorney general. I was promised $200 that I have not received and this should be considered fraudulent.

As an update, I did have someone from Verizon reach out to me via private message.  They claimed they'd get it squared away and that I'd have the gift card via email within 21 days.  This has not happened and they have two days remaining.  I'm highly doubtful that I'll see anything from them.  I would agree with potentially reaching out to the attorney general, though again depending on the number of unfulfilled claims, this could be big enough for class-action.  I'm not a huge fan of those, as ultimately it's just the attorneys that win, but it does punish Verizon.

How do I also get a resolution to this issue? I have been waiting months for my $200 gift card and VZW chat was not helpful. I will file with the PA Attorney General if necessary but would like to avoid that.
