I added the 5g home internet to my plan and received my email saying I need to redeem my offer. when I click to redeem I get a error message saying error unable to add promotion to account. called and chatted the were no help whatsoever, I’m so over Verizon at this point!!

Same here. Activated 5g home last Saturday. No x box, no gift cards, no emails. 4 chat sessions and 2 calls. Verizon support is non existent. This is standard bait tactics. They will try to keep you the service for 60 days, and after you will not be eligible for anything.  Agents only interest is to make a sale, not to honor anything. If you didn’t receive the promotional on the same day, after activation, it means you will not receive it at all. So just keep the service if you like, but you will waste hours for nothing, trying to get the promotional value

YOu are absolutely correct in Verizon baiting us and not meeting up to their promotion.  Verizon posted on the other complaint thread that a solution would be rolling out on 12/13 to fix the issue.  Today is 12/14 and me and many other frustrated members have not gotten any "tiles" on our account page or any communication by verizon to help us.  T

They are promoting the Xbox Series X today with the same baiting techniques.   I hope people don't fall for it.  Just like you, I have been frustrated trying to call them and get an answers.

I called and canceled today the 5g. I know certainly that i will not get anything from them regarding promotion items. When i called to cancel  Comcast other day, they match $45 a month for me, so i am all set. I know other people got x-box ( unless its all verizon agents 😂😂) but if you didn’t get right after activation, forget about. My advice is just don’t waste your time and your blood pressure. They simply don’t care, and they won’t fix it for us

You are right! I also called Spectrum as well and they matched the price for me as well.  I am going to call Verizon after work today and cancel as well.  I am also going to be filling a complaint against Verizon Deceptive practice on the BBB site as well.  This is very unfair for consumers and Verizon should be shame of themselves.

I switched from ATT to Verizon because I was promised a free Xbox, $200 Amazon Gift Card, and a $100 Verizon Card, I have not received a single redemption email like they promised, nor a redemption notification in my app. When I call and chat with an agent, they are now telling me that I only qualified for $100 Verizon Gift Card and it takes up to 60 days to receive. That’s a bunch of garbage because even now they are offering a free Xbox Series X. I feel like I. I even received a confirmation email after I ordered it and it promised all the promotional items.

Rodass, I'd definitely want to make sure I get my Xbox or any other promotion that convinced me to sign up for a service, and I don't want you to have any problems. There's a planned fix for the redemption issues coming today, so please give it another try. If you're still having problems, please let us know.
