I want to know how many people didn't get the Home Depot offer.

Summary + Opinion: There are enough posts on this discussion community to indicate systemic problems over a (relatively) long period of time. It's long past time for Verizon to address this via public statement on the topic, and to provide a better method of providing customer service to those dealing with missing promo issues.

I did not receive any of the promo offers (I think it was only a $50 Home Depot gift card last fall (2023) when I signed up). I called customer service this spring (2024) to try and get help with the issue. After a relatively long phone call (mostly on hold while they tried to figure out what to do), I was told I would receive the gift card within  two weeks. I haven't received anything.

However, the customer service representative did put a $5.00/month credit for 12 months on my account. That's $60 ($10 more than the gift card would have been). In my world, that made the situation right and I just let the gift card promo go. This was easy to do as almost everything about the service has been excellent, so I am  flexible on the promo situation.

Verizon is smart to be using the gift cards and other high-end promos to entice new customers. They just work better for most people than "cheaper service for the first year!". However, it hurts their reputation at the beginning of their customer relationship by having such systemic problems with the promos.

I have been trying to get also. Called and customer support put a ticket in. But nothing yet. I was told promo expires September 15. So waiting to hear something

I spent 2 hours at the Verizon store on 8/4/24 to try and get my promo for the Home Depot card and they gave me a ticket number and said I should get an email in 7 to 10 days.  They were escalating it.  I received nothing and the number they gave me is to check the balance.  I never got the link in my Verizon or the app to even fill out.  So basically I spent to hours for nothing.  I am starting to think this was a trick to get people to sign up for internet.

I still have not received anything as of yet!   I even went to the Verizon store again and still have not gotten any further.  Itโ€™s becoming more and more evident that you promise customers things to get them to purchase extras and never deliver.  I have been trying to get this resolved for 2 months now!

I just spent 2 hours only to be told sorry, you're agent lied when they sold you the box on June 1st. The offer was already expired by then. That's a tricky way to get people to sign up for a plan that is higher than they need.

I received an email telling me that I can claim the offer now, but I do not have the "Home Offers" tile they tell you to click.  I'm frustrated!

I was supposed to get the NFL Sunday Ticket.  For signing up for 5g home internet. Did that in July and still nothing. I hope people thinking about getting the internet through Verizon because of the promotions reads all these posts and comments!

I received 2 separate emails that stated I can redeem the $200 Home Depot gift card, and are not able to do so. I have called, and chatted on line, spent hours on this, and still no gift card. 13 years Iโ€™ve been with Verizon.

I am now going on 3 months of trying to get my Home Depot gift card.  I have had  several employees submit the form and still nothing.  Seems like this is a way for employees to get us to sign up for home internet and never follow through on promotions.  I have seen a lot of people not getting this offer.  I have spent many hours between on the phone, in chats and in the store and still nothing.  Even though I keep getting told they put in a form and I will be getting it!  I have been a Verizon customer for over 19 years and this is how I have been treated.  Very unacceptable!!
